Do you notice anything weird about this photo?

No, it’s not that Biden looks confused while eating the pizza and the soldiers all look disgusted and worried. That’s funny, but not the point. Here’s another one, in which the people involved are all looking far more normal:

No, it’s not Biden or the soldiers that are the big deal there. Look closer at the pizza he’s eating. It has pepperoni on it.
Why does that matter? Because it’s Lent, and Joe Biden is supposedly a Catholic, as Benny pointed out on Twitter:
Is “very Catholic” Joe Biden eating pepperoni on a Friday during Lent? 👀 pic.twitter.com/mVfemMZY8Z

Now, normally it wouldn’t matter in the least what Biden is eating, except that he was looking absolutely ridiculous in that first picture of him eating.
But, remember, he claims to be a Catholic. In fact, he even says the Pope called him a “good Catholic,” as CNN reported:
The world’s most powerful Catholics – President Joe Biden and Pope Francis – held 90 minutes of talks Friday in a session that blended the official and personal sides of the most devout US leader in decades.
After, Biden said Francis had told him he was pleased he was a “good Catholic,” and that he should continue receiving communion, despite opposition from some conservative American bishops over his support for abortion.
Well, for someone who’s such a “good Catholic” that the Pope himself supposedly commented on it, Biden seems to have forgotten a major tradition of the Catholic Church, which is that meat can’t be eaten on Fridays during Lent.
Here’s how the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops described the tradition:
Lent is a 40 day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday. It’s a period of preparation to celebrate the Lord’s Resurrection at Easter. During Lent, we seek the Lord in prayer by reading Sacred Scripture; we serve by giving alms; and we practice self-control through fasting. We are called not only to abstain from luxuries during Lent, but to a true inner conversion of heart as we seek to follow Christ’s will more faithfully. We recall the waters of baptism in which we were also baptized into Christ’s death, died to sin and evil, and began new life in Christ.
Many know of the tradition of abstaining from meat on Fridays during Lent, but we are also called to practice self-discipline and fast in other ways throughout the season.
Describing the particulars of the rules surrounding the tradition, the same website notes that:
Abstinence laws consider that meat comes only from animals such as chickens, cows, sheep or pigs — all of which live on land. Birds are also considered meat. Abstinence does not include meat juices and liquid foods made from meat. Thus, such foods as chicken broth, consomme, soups cooked or flavored with meat, meat gravies or sauces, as well as seasonings or condiments made from animal fat are technically not forbidden. However, moral theologians have traditionally taught that we should abstain from all animal-derived products (except foods such as gelatin, butter, cheese and eggs, which do not have any meat taste). Fish are a different category of animal. Salt and freshwater species of fish, amphibians, reptiles, (cold-blooded animals) and shellfish are permitted.
Now, perhaps Biden studiously avoided the pepperoni’s on his pizza. But, based on the mouthful in the first photo, it sure looks like he was chowing down on the pepperoni pizza, a clear breaking of the Lent rules.
