A DHS representative clarified that while they are easing restrictions for certain asylum seekers, the thorough screening protocols and limitations for individuals from “high-risk” nations remain firmly in place. According to this spokesperson, “Under the leadership of President Trump, maximum screening and vetting for all aliens continues unabated.”
