Chad-Alan Carr, the former mayor of Gettysburg, faces serious legal challenges after three additional victims accused him of sexual offenses against children. Recent court documents shed light on the disturbing allegations. Carr, 48, was charged on April 15, 2026, with three felonies, including sexual assault, alongside two misdemeanors. This came while he was already out on $100,000 bail related to other charges.

According to an affidavit filed by Pennsylvania State Police, the disturbing revelations began unfolding shortly after Carr’s initial arrest. A woman contacted authorities six days later, claiming that Carr had assaulted her son nearly a decade prior. During a police interview, her son, who was 16 at the time, recounted his first encounter with Carr through the dating app Grindr in October 2015. Initially, their meeting was non-sexual, but everything changed when they met again at Carr’s residence. The teen reported that Carr offered him alcohol, which led to a situation he described as initially consensual. However, when he felt uncomfortable and tried to signal his disinterest, saying, “No, no, no,” Carr allegedly continued the assault despite this clear objection.

The disturbing trend continued as yet another victim came forward. A man who met Carr at 18 while attending a play shared his experiences with police. He had heard about Carr’s questionable character before their meeting. In an alarming incident, the man recounted being assaulted while staying with Carr, who had offered him accommodation during his theater rehearsals. The man stated he had been sleeping when he awoke to find Carr in his room. When he resisted, telling Carr “no” repeatedly, Carr still persisted, reportedly holding him down for several minutes. This victim, who was 23 at the time, had been trying to establish a career in theater under Carr’s supervision.

Adding to the complexities of the case, local law enforcement received a report through ChildLine from another individual, also alleging inappropriate contact with Carr when he was a teenager. This victim had interacted with Carr while performing at Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover, York County. Furthermore, police previously accused Carr of sending sexual messages and images to a 16- to 17-year-old boy, even providing specific instructions for sexual activities during late-night Skype sessions.

The details emerging from these allegations paint a troubling picture of a public figure who exploited his position to manipulate vulnerable individuals. Each account adds a layer of gravity to the case, highlighting a pattern of behavior that is both alarming and unacceptable. The community will be watching closely as the legal proceedings unfold, hoping for justice for the victims.
