Recently, the black, morbidly obese entertainer known as Lizzo went on a rant, while receiving an award, mind you, declaring that she was “oppressed.” Yes, really. The obese, African-American, female, despite winning a major award and living in what is probably the best country on Earth for someone in any of those categories, much less all three of them combined, declared that she was oppressed. Perhaps the child soldiers in the Congo and women beheaded for driving in the Middle East would beg to differ.
In any case, it’s what Lizzo ridiculously claimed while speaking during the MTV VMA’s as she accepted the “Video for Good” award, telling the audience:
“B****! Thank you so much, thank you to Christian, who directed the video, Kenny. I don’t know what Music Video for Good means, but I do know what your vote means, and that’s a f***ing lot. Your vote means everything to me, it means everything to making a change in this country.
“So remember, when you’re voting for your favorite artist, vote to change some of these laws that are oppressing us.“
So she’s quite the erudite, well-spoken scholar and understands exactly how those laws are “oppressing” her. Or maybe she’s just a fool. That seemed obvious when she said she didn’t know what the award was for, started her comments of with “bit**es”, and then went on yet another angry rant, saying:
“And now, to the b****es that got something to say about me in this dress — You know what? I’m not going to say nothing. They be like ‘Lizzo, why don’t you clap back? Why don’t you clap back?’ Because b**** this is winning ho!.”
Well that went about as was probably expected.
Unsurprisingly, Lizzo’s comments drew scorn from the right, with The Federalist’s Mollie Hemmingway having perhaps the funniest, best response to Lizzo’s ridiculous rant.
Hemmingway, speaking about the pop star and her likely health problems during a chat with Fox News Channel’s Greg Gutfeld, joked that it was really Lizzo’s arteries that are oppressed, not Lizzo. In her words:
“I actually do like her a little bit. She’s a talented singer, she’s, but the only thing that is oppressing her is her arteries, and… “
Gutfeld then jumped in, building off Hemmingway’s funny and non-politically correct joke with a non-PC joke of his own, saying “Somebody’s going to pay the price.”
Hemmingway followed that up by trying not to seem mean while still obviously disgusted with Lizzo and praise of her, replying to Gutfeld by saying:
“Health is important…and we should respect everybody else, but it’s actually just unhealthy. It’s like obesity porn.”
While perhaps the best exchange between the two, Gutfeld had another funny line when talking with Hemmingway. It came when the two discussed the actress who was attacked by the woke mob for her relatives wearing MAGA hats, with Gutfeld making a joke at Pelosi’s expense and saying:
“Well, I can relate. Nothing ruins a party faster than an absurd political statement… like when I invited Nancy Pelosi to strip at my bachelor party. The first thing she took off was her face … Molly, what’s going on, why are people getting mad at birthday bashes they’re not even invited to?”
Hilarious stuff! Watch Gutfeld and Hemmingway here:
