Republicans are about to think of Musk as an even bigger hero after he said he’s going after George Soros and other groups that give money to Democrats. Musk’s comments about Soros came at the same time that liberal groups sent a letter to Coca-Cola, Disney, and Kraft Foods, asking them to stop advertising on Twitter.
George Soros gives money to a lot of these liberal groups. In response, Musk sent out the following tweet, asking for a thorough investigation of these groups:
Who funds these organizations that want to control your access to information? Let’s investigate …https://t.co/dBFsGjOMC8

“Who funds these organizations that want to control your access to information? Let’s investigate …” said Musk. Then, he sent out a tweet with a link to an article that said Soros, Obama, and Clinton staffers were behind the letter.
Interesting. I wonder if those funding these organizations are fully aware of what the organizations are doing. https://t.co/YzVZIvF68E

Musk said about the article, “Interesting. I wonder if those funding these organizations are fully aware of what the organizations are doing.”
George Soros gives money to an organization called Open Society Foundations. Musk then got angry and told Soros to send him a message.
George, please slide into my DMs!

Some well-known liberal groups like Media Matters, Black Lives Matter Global Foundation, and Accountable Tech are among the groups that signed the letter.
From the letter:
“As top advertisers on Twitter (TWTR), your brand risks association with a platform amplifying hate, extremism, health misinformation, and conspiracy theorists, your ad dollars can either fund Musk’s vanity project or hold him to account.”
Angelo Carusone, who is the CEO of Media Matters, said the following in response.
“If Elon Musk comes in and gets rid of all the brand safety protections, I think Coca-Cola should be able to cancel their contract. It would be very revealing if Twitter refuses to or does not sign or does not give those cancellation options.”
Twitter put out the following statement in response to the letter.
“We have no planned changes to our commitment to brand safety” but the company “cannot speculate on changes Elon Musk may make post closing.”
I will call him and ask
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 3, 2022
Musk joked that he would call Soros and ask him about the money he gave to the Open Source Foundation in response to another tweet that attacked Soros.
