Election activist Scott Presler isn’t landing the coveted role many conservatives had hoped for at the RNC: spearheading a state-by-state legal “ballot harvesting” campaign to mobilize potential voters for Donald Trump in the crucial 2024 presidential election battle.
In a typically hostile and deceptive piece labeling Presler a “conspiracy theorist,” NBC reported that he won’t be snagging the position, which would counterbalance the Democratic Party’s extensive and well-organized ballot-harvesting and GOTV operations.
An RNC spokesperson, responding to NBC’s hit job, clarified that while Presler will be a “valuable voice to the RNC,” he won’t be directly employed as he “remains focused on his nonprofit.” Presler heads Early Vote Action, an organization aimed at rallying Republicans to vote early.
Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump and newly minted RNC co-chair, threw her support behind Presler’s endeavors but didn’t directly refute NBC’s claims.
“Scott Presler has showcased the impact one person can make in activating voters nationwide,” she remarked. “I anticipate having his support as both our organizations share the same objective of encouraging our fellow citizens to vote in this pivotal election.”
Just last week, Lara Trump had expressed her desire to bring Presler on board for the ballot harvesting operation.
“I’ll be speaking with Scott Presler very soon, who … has registered numerous people in this nation. I think he’s fantastic. I want him on our legal ballot harvesting team,” she revealed to conservative influencer Benny Johnson.
Alex Floyd, the Democratic National Committee’s rapid response director, hurled baseless accusations at Presler in a recent statement, a smear echoed by NBC’s headline, which labeled him a spreader of “conspiracy theories.”
“Scott Presler is an election-denying conspiracy theorist, which just makes him par for the course in terms of new major RNC staff hires,” Floyd alleged.
Notably, NBC conveniently omitted the countless instances where prominent Democrats have denied election results they didn’t favor.
