A whistleblower, whose identity remains undisclosed, indicated that Swalwell “has been the source of a lot of leaked information and had to be counseled to be more careful.”
Prominent investigative journalist Catherine Herridge noted the seriousness of these leaks, pointing out that the 2017 interview summary from the FBI suggests links between Swalwell and intelligence information with the intention of political attacks. In her report, she stated, “It appears to be a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence,” indicating the gravity of the situation.
Instead of addressing the accusations, Swalwell reacted vehemently on social media. He accused Patel and those publicizing the findings of attempting to silence him. In an outraged post, he claimed, “More bullshit in service to Trump to try and keep me quiet.
