In a recent episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast, the host and author Brett Weinstein discussed the troubling state of USAID and George Soros’ influence in America. Their conversation revealed a sharp divide in perspectives regarding government corruption and transparency. Rogan kicked things off, revealing his insights on USAID’s questionable dealings, particularly highlighting the investigation initiated by Elon Musk into the agency. “They brought in some young wizards to go in there and go over the books and they are just finding crazy. It’s great. And it’s so interesting,” Rogan noted.
As they delved deeper, Weinstein expressed his frustration with the left’s detachment from these urgent issues, stating, “Like it’s mind boggling. And there’s also, I have to say, I’m just upset at the general pattern of a failure to recognize how right those of us who hypothesized that there was a racket that had overtaken our entire governance structure… we turn out to be absolutely right about this and no one’s going to mention it? That’s mind-blowing.” This highlighted a critical point: while some acknowledge the systemic corruption, others seem oblivious.
Rogan chimed in, noting the mainstream media’s reluctance to cover the revelations about USAID. He pointed out, “It’s very strange that the media is ignoring it, especially the left-wing media. It’s just too big of a win for the right.” Weinstein countered, questioning the legitimacy of the aid purportedly provided by the agency, suggesting it primarily served as a vehicle to channel funds to leftist causes. “Obviously, this was a mechanism used to funnel money to all sorts of things that we didn’t vote on that don’t make sense in light of our constitutional structure,” he explained.
The conversation also veered towards Soros. Rogan highlighted the alarming detail that the government allocated $27 million to the George Soros Prosecutor Fund, emphasizing how taxpayer money was being used to support what he termed “this left-wing lunatic.” Weinstein connected this back to broader issues of surveillance and propaganda, saying, “That’s exactly how this racket worked. Is that the ability to tax the American public and then effectively get us to pay for being propagandized.”
Both men acknowledged the complexities surrounding the current political landscape, including their concerns about the direction of government under the Trump administration. In a tone revealing both skepticism and hope, Weinstein concluded, “And I’m, you know, I obviously have concerns… but seeing that structure broken up is a huge relief.” This discussion compellingly encapsulated a strong sentiment among many who feel that significant change is long overdue.
