Conservative podcaster Steven Crowder has revealed that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) has subpoenaed his company. This announcement comes in the wake of a disturbing document leak linked to the recent assassination of political influencer Charlie Kirk. The leaked document suggests that the shooter used a weapon adorned with symbols and phrases associated with transgender and Antifa ideologies, raising questions about the motive behind the attack.
At a Thursday press conference, the FBI confirmed the existence of the gun found near the site of the shooting. According to accounts, Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at Utah Valley University. The shooter allegedly fired from a rooftop, hitting Kirk from a distance of around 200 yards. The gun used in the attack—an older model imported Mauser .30-06 caliber rifle—was located wrapped in a towel in a wooded area. The spent cartridge, along with unspent rounds, were recovered, all inscribed with engravings expressing radical beliefs.
In a post on X, Crowder shared his experience, stating, “Just received word that my company is being subpoenaed by the ATF. No details yet.” Alongside this, he referenced an email from an ATF officer that included a screenshot of an internal message about the weapon discovered by law enforcement near the shooting scene. The email reportedly described cartridges that featured the colors of the transgender flag and inscriptions like “Trans Rights Are Human Rights,” implying the shooting may have been a premeditated act driven by radical views.
The shooting itself occurred at approximately 12:24 PM, as Kirk delivered remarks during what was branded the American Comeback Tour. This tragic event has been labeled a “political assassination” by Utah’s Governor. Although law enforcement has detained a couple of individuals as persons of interest, they have since been released. The FBI continues to seek public assistance in identifying a person of interest caught on surveillance footage.
