Stephen Miller, currently serving as White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, recently shared serious concerns about welfare fraud involving Somali immigrants in Minnesota. Appearing on “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News, Miller suggested this could become “the greatest financial fraud” in American history.

Host Laura Ingraham set the stage by noting Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s criticism of President Trump for highlighting this issue. Walz seemed to shift blame onto the President for exposing what he called “massive fraud” in their state. In response, Miller stated, “He’s right about one thing: it’s not brand new.”

Miller underscored the longstanding nature of the problem, labeling it as “massive, endemic, systematic fraud against the American taxpayer for years.” He anticipated that ongoing investigations would reveal the full scale of this fraud. “The scope, scale, size, and sheer magnitude of the fraud eclipses anybody’s worst nightmare,” he asserted.

Using available data, Miller claimed that 90% of Somali households with children rely on federal welfare, speculating the true percentage could be as high as 100% due to underreported statistics. He explained, “You’re talking about a population that has been imported into Minnesota in which virtually every single member of the population is receiving welfare from the federal government.”

Miller did not stop at describing the scale of the issue; he offered insight into how this fraud operates. He pointed to what he termed the “Refugee Industrial Complex,” criticizing the system in which billions of dollars are funneled through third-party organizations to resettle impoverished populations in America. “The way this works… historically, and this, of course, got taken to the highest degree ever under Biden,” he detailed.

Miller went on to explain that these groups target rural communities, transforming small towns by relocating refugees. He noted the focus on areas like Minneapolis and Saint Paul, saying, “These nonprofits get massively rich. They rake in a fortune. They become some of the wealthiest nonprofits the world has ever seen.” This model ensures that refugees gain access to numerous welfare benefits, a process financed by American taxpayers.

“In a nutshell,” Miller pointed out, “it is heinous, it is shameful.” He also took pride in asserting that under Trump, “all refugee resettlement into the country” has stopped, except for specific cases involving Afrikaners facing persecution.

In a stark conclusion, Miller painted a vivid picture of what he believes to be a fraudulent system harming American taxpayers, expressing confidence that the investigations would bring the truth to light. As investigations unfold, the fallout from this issue may raise significant questions about welfare policies and their implications for American society.
