A disturbing incident has emerged involving a DoorDash driver, Kourtney Stevenson, who was caught on video pepper-spraying a food order. The footage shows Stevenson, with blue hair, deliberately spraying the contents of the bag shortly after midnight on December 7 in northern Vanderburgh County, Indiana. The act, evident in the video, raises serious questions about her intentions.

Stevenson was identified and arrested after police linked her to the crime through DoorDash logs. As reported by the Evansville Courier-Press, she now faces grave charges: two counts of battery resulting in moderate injury and two counts of consumer product tampering. Despite the evidence against her, Stevenson claimed she was merely trying to hit a spider, a defense that seems implausible given the context.

Witness Mark Cardin shared a harrowing account of the aftermath. His wife began choking after consuming just a few bites of the Arby’s meal. “I noticed my wife had started eating, and she started choking and gasping,” Cardin recounted. “After she had a couple of bites of her food, she actually threw up.” This indicates that the pepper spray was not an accident but a calculated act, especially since Cardin observed tampering with the bag itself.

“So I pulled up my doorbell camera and saw that the woman who dropped the food off had actually tampered with it on purpose for some reason,” he added. The footage has raised alarm, serving as a stark reminder of the potential hazards lurking in seemingly ordinary interactions. Police have taken this incident seriously, and Stevenson could face significant jail time.

This situation emphasizes the need for accountability in food delivery services. Consumers place trust in those delivering meals, and this breach of that trust can have frightening consequences. A thorough investigation will hopefully uncover the underlying motivations behind Stevenson’s actions, leading to greater scrutiny and measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
