While most Republicans shy away from attacking the bureaucracy, especially the deeply entrenched medical bureaucray establishment, one Senator who has shown like a bright light in the fight against Fauci is Rand Paul.
Always willing to call Fauci out on his lies, press him about uncomfortable issues, and ask him pointed questions during Senate hearings, Senator Paul has proven him a stalwart defender of the average American hurt by Fauci’s policies.
Recently, he stepped up to the plate yet again, this time declaring that he would ensure the GOP hold Fauci accountable after a red wave victory in 2022.
That comment came during an interview with his father, former Congressman Ron Paul. During the interview, Senator Paul said “I will be chairman of a committee in the Senate. We will use the subpoena power to bring forth all the records.”
Then, speaking on the current issue and what is done when Democrats are in power, Paul said “Right now they send us records. If we ask about their discussions, covering up where the virus came from, its origins in the lab, they white it all out.”
Next, he insisted that he’d start holding the medical bureaucrats accountable once the GOP is back in charge, he said “They redact all the information and send us a blank piece of paper and they won’t tell us about their conversations. We’ll get to the root of everything.”
Finally, saying he thought Fauci would retire as such a point, Paul said that would be the “best thing right there for the country because he’s been so damaging” and that “All these blue state governors listen to him and think that it’s science to close a restaurant at 10 o’clock at night or to say that we have to have 25 percent of patrons.”
He then added that “There’s no evidence that any of the mitigation, any of the rules, and mandates changed the trajectory of the virus at all.”
