Kamala Harris’ “border” visit seems to have been undertaken too late and done too little to garner her any credibility. The unpopular VP planned her Friday trip after being goaded into action by former President Donald Trump’s plan to visit the border before her. It took her 94 days after being made “border czar” by Joe Biden to finally take a trip seriously.
It would also seem as though the trip itself was nothing more than just a last-minute stopover. This seems likely as she only spent a few hours in El Paso (800 miles from where the real border crisis is in full swing) before continuing to her home state of California.
Fox News Reports: “After spending a few hours in El Paso, Texas, on Friday – on what one Republican described as a “parachuting” visit – the vice president continued west to Los Angeles, where she planned to spend time at her home in the city’s tony Brentwood neighborhood, according to reports.
It was to mark Harris’ fourth trip to Los Angeles since taking office, reports said – versus her lone trip to the border, which came on the 94th day after she took on the role as manager of the Biden administration’s response to the migrant crisis.
Motorists in the City of Angels were being warned about likely traffic delays in the area of Los Angeles International Airport, where Harris was expected to land aboard Air Force Two in the afternoon, L.A. time.
There was no specific information about the road route the vice president’s motorcade was expected to take after she arrives, KNBC-TV of Los Angeles reported.
There was also no information available on whether Harris planned to tour California’s border region while in her home state.
Harris last visited Los Angeles for Easter weekend in early April, according to City News Service.”
While her visit may have been brief, the Queen of Cackling couldn’t help but take the opportunity to blame Trump for the current border crisis. She said, “We inherited a tough situation. In five months we’ve made progress”. What progress that might be remains to be seen since there has been no major reduction in illegal border crossings, and numbers continue to climb monthly.
“Our administration — it is important to be clear — is working to build a fair and a functional and a humane immigration system,” Harris said while meeting with faith-based organizations and shelter and legal service providers. “We have looked at a system where people have been housed in inhumane conditions over the last many years, an asylum system that has been broken and needs to be reconstructed.”

She also made sure to put her speechwriters to work figuring out an excuse that could be laundered through the Democrat media apparatus as to why she visited a town almost 1,000 miles from the real border crisis. She falsely claimed that El Paso was where Trump began a policy of separating children from their parents.
“It is here in El Paso that the previous administration’s child separation policy was unveiled. And so we’ve seen the disastrous effects of that right here in this region,” the vice president said during a briefing after her visit. “It is here in El Paso that the Return-to-Mexico policy from the previous administration was implemented. We have seen the disaster that resulted from that here in El Paso,” said Harris.
What she was attempting but purposefully failing to adequately explain was that was where the zero-tolerance policy was unveiled. Another interpretation would be, you know, actually enforcing the laws as they are written about illegally entering the United States, whether alone or by trafficking children. The only reason why Democrats can claim “Trump separated families” (though many children aren’t brought with their parents) is because Obama simply didn’t enforce the immigration law and kicked off the border crisis as we know it today. A lie by omission that Harris is sure to not be fact-checked on.
No matter who Kamala, Biden, or CNN tries to blame they will have a tough time convincing US citizens that they aren’t at fault for the unprecedented surge in illegal immigration and human trafficking. The fact that Harris couldn’t stay for more than a few hours before running home to her safe space is a symbol of her overall performance in a leadership role. Either she can’t handle the official duties that she’s been tasked with, or she’s purposefully letting them fall by the wayside and hoping the media will play damage-control if she moves on fast enough. Meanwhile, the problems will only continue to get worse.
