President Joe Biden might be facing a major amount of resistance from law enforcement if he begins cracking down on gun rights with far-left policies.
29 sheriffs in Utah have signed a statement in which they promise to protect their residents’ Second Amendment rights. The statement also warns Utah to be somewhat skeptical of any legislation that could infringe on their constitutional rights, as reported by SLTRIB
The 29 Utah sheriffs say they will do everything in their power to protect the constitutional rights of their residents both as a collective and as individuals.
Part of the statement says:
“Prompted by increasing public concern to safeguard constitutional rights, we, the elected Sheriffs of Utah, soundly reaffirm our sworn oaths to ‘support, obey, and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Utah… We humbly serve as the chief law enforcement officers of the 29 counties of the great State of Utah…”
“As such, we publicly reassert our individual and collective duty to defend all of the constitutional rights of our citizens.”
“Importantly, the Second Amendment of our divinely inspired Constitution clearly states … ‘the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed… We hereby recognize a significant principle underlying the Second Amendment: the right to keep and bear arms is indispensable to the existence of a free people.”
“As your elected Sheriffs, we individually and collectively pledge to do everything within our power to steadfastly protect the Second Amendment and all other individual rights guaranteed by the Constitution… We understand the destructive influences currently existing in our country will only relent when women and men everywhere genuinely care for each other. We must rely on Providence and care deeply about preserving the Constitution and its freedoms in order to be a strong and prosperous people.”
One Sheriff Jensen claims the signed statement isn’t a response to any particular legislation brought forth by Biden’s administration, but just a reminder that their sheriffs will be protecting the rights of the citizens to give them a bit of peace during this time.
Jensen also suggests that even if President Joe Biden’s administration attempts some sort of gun laws, that no unconstitutional measures will take place in his state.
Sheriff Jensen wants his residents to know their rights are protected no matter what.

Meanwhile, Biden’s ATF nominee already admit he wants to ban the AR-15. On top of that, President Joe Biden gaffed twice when he tried to say ATF, but said AFT instead – and that’s a teacher’s union!
This is not the battle that Joe Biden wants to engage with, because the Second Amendment exists for this exact reason and Americans will protect it.
