The president faces a new challenge as 23 House Republicans pushed a resolution to censure Joe Biden over his “dereliction of duty” and “failure” to properly handle the massive problem at the United States and Mexico border, as reported on Washington Times.
The push for a Biden censure was lead by starling Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert as she demands the border issues be taken care of swiftly and properly.
The massive surge in migrants from Central America and the Biden/Harris obvious inability to properly contain the issue has been discussed across America and was a major factor in the push to censure Joe Biden.
The border has seen a record number of migrants in May, reaching up to 180,000, and some of them were arrested. Among those arrested were criminals suspected of horrific crimes such as murder, drug crimes and other deviant behaviors.
Valerie Richardson reported:
“My censure bill holds President Biden accountable for his actions — or lack thereof — at the border,” said Ms. Boebert in a statement. “Biden has refused to enforce the laws securing our border, he has refused to visit our border, his border czar Kamala has refused to visit the border, and his Secretary of Homeland Security is lying to the American people by saying that our border is closed.”
The censure resolution is dead on arrival in the Democrat-controlled House, but the announcement served to highlight mounting GOP frustration with the Biden administration on border security.Rep. Andy Biggs, Arizona Republican, called the administration a “complete disaster,” pointing to this year’s one million illegal border crossings.
“President Biden and Vice President Harris have sent an unequivocal message that they prefer illegal immigrants over Americans,” Mr. Biggs said. “Their radical agenda has erased our southern border.”
Vice President Kamala Harris was tapped as the ‘border czar’ months ago and just this week finally announced a trip to Mexico, but it was too little, too late.
Boebert has been critical of both her and Joe Biden in recent weeks. Boebert had also take a cardboard cut-out of Kamala Harris to the border, so the VP could finally be there – although not in person, just in cardboard.
Former President Donald Trump has scolded Kamala Harris for planned trip to the border. Trump suggested that Kamala Harris was only going to the border because he was – implying that the vice president can’t continue to be stood up and barked at for not doing her job as other big names make their way to the border.
In other words, had she visited the border three months ago (and did her job in the first place), then she wouldn’t be ridiculed for it on a daily basis.
When Kamala Harris finally visits the border, it will be at El Paso, where Ted Cruz has already slammed her for. Cruz suggests that El Paso is “800 miles” from the location where the biggest problems are, suggesting that Kamala Harris is going to the cozy part of town instead of seeing the major issues for herself.
Richardson further reported:
The Republicans accused the Biden administration of incentivizing illegal immigration by eliminating policies implemented by former President Trump to secure the border, such as the remain-in-Mexico policy.
“President Biden’s reckless approach to our southern border is manufacturing a humanitarian crisis,” said Rep. Bob Good, Virginia Republican. “President Biden has undermined his oath and taken Congress’ power into his own hands by granting blanket amnesty and failing to enforce the laws on the books. I am proud to join Congresswoman Boebert in calling for his censure.”
Republicans overwhelmingly want the border problem solved. Many believe that if Joe Biden had simply done nothing, and left former President Donald Trump’s policies in place, that the border would not have such major problems right now.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden is making jokes about deer wearing Kevlar vests in his recent push for gun control – and no one in the video laughed.
