Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw was fired up while discussing the anti-American move pulled by Olympic athlete, Gwen Berry, who appeared to turn her back while the National Anthem played as she stood on the podium for a bronze victory. Berry also placed a t-shirt that said “Activist Athlete” on her head while the anthem played, but later said she felt like it was a “set up” to have the anthem played while she did her protest.
Meanwhile, the other two Olympic athletes stood on the podium with hands over hearts, likely being thankful and honored to represent America as an athlete.
One U.S. congressman said Berry, and other athletes who follow suit with such demonstrations, should be kicked off Team USA.
“We don’t need any more activist athletes,” Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) said during an appearance on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends” Monday. “She should be removed from the team. The entire point of the Olympic team is to represent the United States of America. It’s the entire point.”
“It’s one thing when the NBA does it. OK, we’ll just stop watching,” Crenshaw continued Monday. “But now the Olympic team? And it’s multiple cases of this. They should be removed. That should be the bare minimum requirement, is that you believe in the country you’re representing.”
USA Today further reported that Berry’s actions were meant to raise awareness to police brutality and racism, but like Dan Crenshaw said – we don’t need (or want) any more activist athletes.
Later in the report it was revealed that the National Anthem was scheduled to play at 5:20 – no matter who was on the podium that day, suggesting there is no way it could have been the “set up” like Gwen Berry said it felt like.

The ripping didn’t stop there, as Tyrus Murdoch from Fox News tore into Gwen Berry as well, reported BPR.
Tyrus, a former athlete himself, shredded Gwen Berry who tried defending her activism:
“I’m going to give you names here. We’ve had some issues in this country especially as a black man when I go to Tommy Smith, John Carlos, Jessie Owens who, they had issues, they fought, they wanted dignity, but they also wanted a seat at the table,” Murdoch explained.
“They wanted to show how much they loved their country, how much they belong, and human rights issues and they fought for it. This isn’t it,” he said of Berry’s protest.
“Even if we are taking a knee on the baseball game, I have no problem with a professional athlete being a citizen, taking a respectful knee during the flag if that’s what you choose to do while still honoring the flag, I have no issue. She turned her back on the flag. She was upset they had the gall to – what song would you think they are going to play at the Olympics?” Murdoch explained.
“This very simply, why are you even competing in the Olympics if you hate the flag and the country so much? If it’s such a horrible place, why are you doing it?”
Well, the Olympics wouldn’t be American without some bizarre activist athlete self-serving themselves while they represent America.
If anything, Gwen Berry has shown to be both selfish and anti-American as she protests on a podium.
What could be worse than that, besides Jill Biden representing USA in Tokyo?
This is already one of the most embarrassing Olympics and it hasn’t even started yet.
The summer Olympics begin on July 23, so there’s plenty of time to get rid of the anti-American athletes and pray that Jill Biden stays home.
