Another day, another liberal celebrity calling for some sort of anti-American nonsense. This time singer Macy Gray called for the American flag design to be ditched and replaced with a new design, one that meets her standards, of course.
Macy Gray called for the American flag redesign in an op-ed she wrote for MarketWatch and she was fiercely met by patriots who love the current flag, because there hasn’t been anything wrong with the beautiful American flag since the day it was created.
But of course, liberals are gonna liberal, especially when they’re in the celebrity entertainment business.
Once Macy Gray’s article was posted all over social media, the immediate hailstorm rocked her mentions and people like South Dakota’s Republican Gov. Kristi Noem led the charge with simple replies, dismantling Macy Gray and her calls to abandon the American flag.
Before we show you the amazing replies by patriots defending the flag, it’s important to know the context and see what exactly Macy Gray was saying.
Macy Gray claimed the design of the current American flag is “tattered, dated, divisive and incorrect.” She wants it redesigned because she feels it’s inaccurate and she did this now because of Juneteenth becoming a holiday.
Here’s what Gray posted in MarketWatch about the American flag (and good thing it’s just her opinion and no one has to care):
The Confederate battle flag, which was crafted as a symbol of opposition to the abolishment of slavery, is just recently tired. We don’t see it much anymore. However, on the 6th, when the stormers rained on the nation’s most precious hut, waving Old Glory — the memo was received: the American flag is its replacement.
President Biden, Madame Harris and members of Congress: the American flag has been hijacked as code for a specific belief. God bless those believers, they can have it. Like the Confederate, it is tattered, dated, divisive, and incorrect. It no longer represents democracy and freedom. It no longer represents ALL of us. It’s not fair to be forced to honor it. It’s time for a new flag.
Incorrect? Let’s look to the stars. There are 50, where there should be 52. D.C. and Puerto Rico have been lobbying for statehood for decades. Both have been denied, since statehood would allow each territory’s elected officials seats in the house.
Assuming D.C. reps would be African-American and Puerto Rican reps would be Hispanic, the ultimate assumption is that these elected officials would be Democratic. That alone is racist.
On to the stripes. The Smithsonian documents that the “white” stripes represent purity and innocence. America is great. It is beautiful. Pure, it ain’t. It is broken and in pieces.
What if the stripes were OFF-white? What if there were 52 stars to include D.C. and Puerto Rico? What if the stars were the colors of ALL of us — your skin tone and mine — like the melanin scale? The blue square represents vigilance and perseverance; and the red stripes stand for valor. America is all of those things. So, what if those elements on the flag remained? What if the flag looked like this?
Or how about this? What if we left the flag alone and didn’t keep trying to change everything that has worked fine for decades?
Kristi Noem only needed a few words to crush Macy Gray.
Noem said: “no thank you. I like this flag.”

Rep. Lauren Boebert said: “There are 195 countries in the world. 194 of them don’t have the American flag. If @MacyGraysLife or anyone else hates the American flag so badly, they should pick a flag they like & go live in the country that flies it!”
Noem also said: “A new flag?! No thanks. Old Glory still waves as a symbol of liberty and justice for all.”
Rep. Andy Biggs said: “If you don’t like the American flag, feel free to leave”
Jenna Ellis said: “I don’t like to brag, but we’re kinda proud of that ragged old flag.”
Lavern Spicer said: “@MacyGraysLife had one hit song about 20 years ago and hasn’t done anything since. Now she wants to come out from the dark and say that she hates our flag. Your world would crumble if you weren’t in America.”
Looks like Macy Gray has a decision to make. Accept the American flag or maybe find another country to live in, because if it wasn’t for America, she wouldn’t be a famous celebrity with a big fan following.
