We keep hearing from so called health experts to “follow the science” and yet when it comes to children one of the most vulnerable groups within our society they decide to ignore that advice. They choose to ignore the facts and willfully put them at risk by once again mandating they wear a useless rag tied around their face.
Useless in that the vast majority of face coverings (unless they’re medical grade) actually don’t work, and in fact can be more hazardous to a child’s well-being.
However, that didn’t stop the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) from issuing new health guidelines Monday. These new orders contradicted “the science” by recommending children as young a 2 years old wear face masks when they return to school in the fall.
The AAP also “strongly” recommends anyone eligible to get a vaccine should do so. Currently under the Emergency Use Authorization Act, children less than 12 years of age are prohibited from receiving the vaccine, because they are not officially approved by the FDA, in short they’re experiential.

The decree handed down Monday, in part reads; “AAP recommends universal masking because a significant portion of the student population is not yet eligible for vaccines, and masking is proven to reduce transmission of the virus and to protect those who are not vaccinated,” the AAP said in a statement, adding that many schools “will not have a system to monitor vaccine status of students, teachers and staff, and some communities overall have low vaccination uptake where the virus may be circulating more prominently.”
AAP is wrong in that there’s no scientific evidence to suggest that wearing a mask “reduces the transmission of the virus”. In fact, there’s evidence to the contrary. For example, in cities like Los Angeles and New York where mask mandates were vigorously enforced the rate of infections skyrocketed. Meanwhile, states like Texas and Florida with less mask restrictions had far less infection rates.
However that didn’t stop Sara Bode, MD, FAAP, chairperson-elect of the AAP Council on School Health Executive Committee, from promoting the myth within her statement, “This is why it’s important to use every tool in our toolkit to safeguard children from COVID-19. Universal masking is one of those tools, and has been proven effective in protecting people against other respiratory diseases, as well,” she continued, describing universal masking as the “most effective strategy to create consistent messages and expectations among students without the added burden of needing to monitor everyone’s vaccination status.”
Thankfully there are scientific facts to counter the political narrative currently being spun by the likes of AAP regarding the harmful effects on children wearing masks.
Fox News Medical Contributor and Clinical Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine Dr. Marc Siegel recently weighed in on the mask controversy stating “It’s a big danger to mandate masks for kids in school.”
Adding; “There’s the risk of getting dizzy and having carbon dioxide retention, but — and also the fact that teachers are already vaccinated, most of them and the fact that it’s based on how much virus is in the area. We’re talking about many areas where there’s no virus around at all. And, most importantly, the risk of spread of COVID-19 from kid to kid has been found to be less than 1%. I think masks play a role in that. But, again, what’s the cost? And that has to be considered.”
Also a new study just concluded shows children wearing face masks risk dangerous health risks that can impact the rest of their lives
On June 30th 2021 JAMA Pediatrics published their research which clearly demonstrates children wearing masks can result in a carbon-dioxide buildup within the bloodstream, well in excess of U.S. guidelines for indoor air quality.
Researches recruited 45 children aged 6-17 years, and measured the carbon dioxide content in air the children inhaled while they were unmasked, and then after wearing two different types of nose and mouth coverings – a surgical mask, and a filtering face-piece for three minutes each.
Conclusion: The youngest children were the most adversely affected. One 7-year old child had a carbon dioxide reading of 2.5% within the bloodstream, more than 12.5 times above the level considered unacceptable by the German Federal Environmental Office.
It’s time to stop trusting that Democrat-aligned organizations want the best for your children.
