The unholy alliance between the Biden White House and big tech (namely Facebook) was announced last Thursday by press secretary Jen Psaki. They are to immediately begin censoring content on social media that they consider to be “misinformation.”
The chilling announcement by Psaki is reminiscent of George Orwell’s novel “1984”, in which the acclaimed English novelist worried that even virtuous nations can fall prey to the dark side of humanity. That side which governments slowly transitions from an open and free society to one that eventually erodes one basic freedom after another. One might say we witnessed that on Thursday’s unholy alliance between the White House and Facebook’s attempt to stifle “free speech” under guise of being “right,” or, “contextually” correct.
Orwell worried that totalitarian governments, once they seize power, will NEVER relinquish it freely.
Case-in-point, Paski admitted the administration (along with Facebook) will begin identifying posts by American citizens they deem to be inaccurate concerning the “China virus” and will ban affiliated posts from appearing on social media.
“We are in regular touch with the social media platforms and those engagements typically happen through members of our senior staff and also members of our COVID-19 team,” Psaki told reporters, adding “this is a big issue, of misinfordmation, specifically on the pandemic.”

She added, “We’ve increased disinformation research and tracking within the Surgeon General’s Office. We are flagging problematic posts for Facebook that spread disinformation.”
The crackdown on free-speech was apparently instigated by Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, who apparently took issue with those questioning the continues stream of misinformation coming out of the CDC along with flip-flopping Fauci.
However, that didn’t stop the self-aggrandizing Surgeon General from popping off: “Health misinformation has led people to resist wearing masks in high-risk settings. It’s led them to turn down proven treatments and to choose not to get vaccinated. This has led to avoidable illnesses and deaths.”
Keep in mind, these are the same social media platforms and government healthcare bureaucrats that banned millions of American citizens who initially disputed so called government health experts like Doctor Anthony Fauci. on the origin of the virus, which now appears likely either accidentally escaped from the Wuhan Lab, or purposely released by the Chinese military.
One of the most egregious acts committed by Facebook took place at the height of the pandemic when the social media giant decided to censor the Wall Street Journal, after the newspaper published an op-ed article from a renowned Johns Hopkins surgeon who surmised that the United States is likely to achieve herd immunity to the COVID-19 virus by April.
Dr. Marty Makary, was falsely fact-checked by some nameless progressive ideologue who simply decided to cancel the acclaimed surgeon, who argued that a failure to take into account natural immunity combined with vaccines, will eventually lead to herd immunity making the spread of the disease from person to person less likely. The doctor concluded his analysis by citing a 77% decline in cases over 6-weeks old.
Makary concluded in his op-ed article; “Some medical experts privately agreed with my prediction that there may be very little Covid-19 by April but suggested that I not to talk publicly about herd immunity because people might become complacent and fail to take precautions or might decline the vaccine,” wrote Makary. “But scientists shouldn’t try to manipulate the public by hiding the truth.”
The pandemic is no longer a deadly threat to most of us; the vaccines thanks to President Trump have done their intended job. However, America now faces a much bigger threat. One that strikes at the very heart of our nation: The unholy alliance between government and big tech. Those who wrap themselves in the First Amendment while silencing citizens threaten the very foundation of our Republic. The ominous rule of “Big Brother” under this administration has now become a reality.
