Chalk one up for religious liberty thanks to a Texas judge who blocked Joe Biden’s egregious “Transgender Mandate”. This newest nonsense would have required doctors to abandon their religious convictions along with their Hippocratic Oath. It would force them (in some instances) to perform surgical mutilation of prepubescent children under the guise of so-called “gender transition” surgeries.
Judge Reed O’Connor on Monday granted a permanent injunction on doctors who believe it’s morally wrong to abort a baby or perform controversial gender transition surgery especially on children.
O’Connor’s written ruling states that doctors are “to be exempt from the government’s requirement to perform abortions and gender-transition procedures.”

The federal court ruling is of course a HUGE victory for religious freedom, prohibiting Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra from requiring the Christian plaintiffs to “perform or provide insurance coverage for gender-transition procedures or abortions, including by denying Federal financial assistance because of their failure to perform or provide insurance coverage for such procedures or by otherwise pursuing, charging, or assessing any penalties, fines, assessments, investigations, or other enforcement actions.”
Luke Goodrich, vice president and senior counsel at Becket Fund for Religious Liberty acknowledged in a prepared statement, “Today’s ruling is a victory for compassion, conscience, and common sense. No doctor should be forced to perform controversial, medically unsupported procedures that are contrary to their conscience and could be deeply harmful to their patients.”

In 2016 the egregious medical procedure was included as part of Obama’s disastrous Affordable Care Act. This provided a “nondiscrimination clause” requiring patients to seek referrals from a mental health professional before the mandated gender-transition operations could be performed.
Doctors who refused to perform such surgeries because of their religious convictions faced a multitude of penalties and monetary fines, including in some cases lawsuits and perhaps even being fired from the healthcare facility.
In a number of cases, sexually confused children have fallen victim to this BARBARIC procedure after a mental health professional recommends the controversial and irreversible “gender-transition” surgery. Moreover, even if the doctor performing the surgery feels that the procedure would do more harm to the child than good the doctor is still forced to perform the “affirming” operation.
However, 9 states and a score of religious institutions and organizations including over 19,000 healthcare professionals in all areas of medical care challenged the Obama mandate in two different federal courts, and “WON” both cases. The courts agreed with the plaintiffs that the Transgender Mandate is unlawful. The government cannot force faith based doctors and hospitals to abandon their religious beliefs, or violate their Hippocratic Oath.
The Mandate doesn’t even allow the surgeon to voice their medical concerns regarding the procedure or to recommend another physician for a second opinion. Not even concerning such a life-altering decision or for a hospital to find another doctor willing to perform the surgery.
Even more alarming is the data regarding the damage this procedure has already done to countless children. According to the World Professional Association for Transgender Help (WPATH) transgender standards of care; “In most children, gender dysphoria will disappear before, or early in, puberty.”
The study also found that up to 94% of children referred for gender dysphoria will eventually grow out of their gender dysphoria naturally.

Other researchers have also noted that “every study that has been conducted on this has found the same thing. At the moment there is strong evidence that even many children with rather severe gender dysphoria will, in the long run, shed it and come to feel comfortable with the bodies they were born with.”
