For a lot of conservatives, the nine people on their wish list to run for president in 2024 are Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Donald Trump, etc.
And it makes sense. The man and his administration did wonders for the United States in just four short years. Sadly, Joe Biden has managed to undo everything in just one.
But let’s say Trump doesn’t run in 2024. After all, he’s not exactly a young man. Most likely he will run, don’t kid yourself.
But what if he doesn’t? Who are you backing then?
From Newsmax:
[Florida Governor Ron] DeSantis, 43, a star in the Republican Party, has been praised (and derided) for his business-first, no-lockdown approach to the pandemic. He’s also crisscrossed the country for fundraisers and other events, The Hill noted.
[…]
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has formed a political action committee to boost Republican candidates ahead of the 2022 midterm elections and has made stops in early primary and caucus states. In April, Haley said that she would not run for president in 2024 if Trump does.
No such declaration has been made by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. Asked on CBS’s “Face the Nation” last month if he would challenge Trump in 2024, Cruz said: “There’s a long history of runner-ups becoming the next nominee.”
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said that his focus for now is on helping Republicans recapture control of the House and Senate next year.
The rest of the “9” field includes: former Vice President Mike Pence, Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, and Trump.
If the vast majority of reporters weren’t liberals, Biden wouldn’t be president today. In fact, no Democrat would even hold office – unless they were a blue-dog.
The fact that people like Trump, DeSantis, and other big name Republicans have to defend themselves for doing a great job is beyond pathetic.
The bias shown by darn-near every outlet in America today is turning this nation upside down.
From The Daily Wire:
The Democratic mayor of Palm Beach County slammed CBS on Monday for airing an “intentionally false” report on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and his state’s vaccination program.
Mayor David Kerner issued a statement after CBS’s “60 Minutes” aired a clip of DeSantis rebutting accusations of a pay-to-play scheme between himself and Publix, a supermarket chain common in Florida. CBS edited out almost all of the substance of DeSantis’ response when it aired the exchange between the Republican governor and CBS reporter Sharyn Alfonsi.
Kerner said, “I watched the ’60 Minutes’ segment on Palm Beach County last night and feel compelled to issue this statement. The reporting was not just based on bad information – it was intentionally false,” Kerner wrote. “I know this because I offered to provide my insight into Palm Beach County’s vaccination efforts and ’60 Minutes’ declined.”
During an appearance on “Hannity,” then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said what every American wanted to hear.
In a nutshell: China is going to pay for COVID-19.
But how, exactly?
Pompeo noted, “China caused an enormous amount of pain, loss of life and now a huge challenge for the global economy and the American economy as well by not sharing the information they had.”
