Convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell’s defense team is now seeking a new trial after two jurors revealed in an interview with the Daily Mail that they were victims of child sex abuse as children.
A week after Jeffery Epstein’s right-hand woman Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty, juror Scotty David and another anonymous juror took it upon themselves to have an interview with the London-based Daily Mail.
In the interview, both David and the anonymous juror shared in their interview that they were victims of childhood sexual abuse and during the jury deliberation process, both jurors reportedly shared their own stories of being sexually abused.
According to BBC, Scotty David shared details about his horrific experiences of being sexually abused and was quoted saying:
“I know what happened when I was sexually abused. I remember the color of the carpet, the walls. Some of it can be replayed like a video,” he said he told the jury, according to The Independent. “But I can’t remember all the details, there are some things that run together.”
“When I shared that, they were able to sort of come around on, they were able to come around on the memory aspect of the sexual abuse,” Scotty David said, referring to other jurors, according to the Reuters news agency.
That wasn’t the only statement that caused Maxwell’s legal counsel to file for a mistrial, Scotty David also told a reporter that he “flew through” a questionnaire that asked whether or not he was ever sexually abused.
Ghislaine Maxwell's prosecutors have taken notice of a juror's interviews with multiple news outlets.

David would go on to say that he didn’t remember ever being asked whether or not he was sexually abused during the voir dire process. Maxwell’s defense team has now filed a letter to Judge Alison Nathan which stated:
The Supreme Court has held that to be entitled to a new trial, “a party must first demonstrate that a juror failed to answer honestly a material question on voir dire, and then further show that a correct response would have provided a valid basis for a challenge for cause.”
As of right now, legal experts believe that it’s very well possible that Maxwell could be granted a mistrial if David either intentionally or by mistake did not tell the truth about being sexually abused on his juror’s questionnaire. David could also face charges of perjury.
The whole situation seems very fishy considering two jurors decided to publicly announce what they said behind closed doors during a very high-profile case. Some users on Twitter believe that the jurors are being paid off by Maxwell’s camp. Ghislaine’s father Robert Maxwell was a British media proprietor and also allegedly had a connection to Israeli intelligence group Mossad. Maxwell herself at one point in time partied it up with former Daily mail editor Geordie Greig.

So, it’s very clear that Maxwell has had a solid connection to the British media outlets in London. So, it’s either these jurors were extremely foolish to speak to the media or this was all planned out by Maxwell and others all along.
