Eric Adams was sworn-in as the 110th mayor of New York City on January 1. Like Bill de Blasio before him, Adams will come up regularly in news stories for being a far-left hack.
How New Yorkers continue to elect such radicals to office remains a mystery, but it goes to show the power of the mainstream media. The MSM literally has millions upon millions of Americans heavily brainwashed.
With people like Adams in office, NYC will continue to remain a liberal cesspool.
From New York Post:
Mayor Eric Adams has named former NYPD chief Philip Banks — an unindicted co-conspirator in a sweeping federal police corruption case — the deputy mayor of public safety, City Hall officials confirmed Friday.
Banks, who’s long been rumored to be appointed to the reinstituted post by Adams, will return to public office nearly eight years after abruptly resigning from the top uniformed spot in the department amid the federal probe into the NYPD.
The post, last held by Milton Mollen in 1992, is tasked with overseeing the NYPD and other public safety matters.
At the time, Banks had said his rift with then-Police Commissioner Bill Bratton over his promotion to first deputy commissioner, the second in command, spurred his resignation.
The story continues to note, “It was later revealed the rising star’s surprise move came as the feds probed “hundreds of thousands” of dollars in Banks’ account as part of the investigation into Jona Rechnitz and Jeremy Reichberg, who bribed cops with hookers and jewelry.”
Bill de Blasio is a baaaaddd man – and certainly not in a good way. The former mayor of New York City is, and always has been, an absolute menace, hellbent on destroying NYC.
It is good for the city that de Blasio is out, but it’s not exactly fantastic that Adams is in.
From New York Times:
New York City lawmakers are poised to allow more than 800,000 New Yorkers who are green card holders or have the legal right to work in the United States to vote in municipal elections and for local ballot initiatives.
The bill, known as “Our City, Our Vote,” would make New York City the largest municipality in the country to allow noncitizens to vote in local elections.
The legislation, expected to be approved by the City Council on Dec. 9 by a veto-proof margin, comes as the country is dealing with a swath of new laws to impose voter restrictions, as well as the economic and demographic effects of a decline in immigration.
This is wrong on every level. If a non-citizen wants to vote, become an American and you will be welcome. This will lead to endless confusion and controversy as non-citizen “voters” think they’ll be entitled to vote in Federal and state elections too. https://t.co/gDa8ImOPI0
