Censored no more! President Donald Trump is returning to social media and this time he will be using his own platform. Donald Trump Jr., has just, tweeted a screenshot of the first post on Trump’s up-and-coming social media network Truth Social. ‘It’s time for the truth!!!’ Donald Jr. tweeted Tuesday night, sharing a photo of his father’s Truth Social post, which reads: ‘Get ready! ‘Your favorite president will be there shortly.’ According to social media users, the beta version of Truth Social was debuted for only certain users including President Trump.

The Daily Mail reported:
‘TRUTH Social (beta) has dropped and President Trump is active on his own account!’ tweeted Liz Willis, VP of operations at Right Side Broadcasting Network. ‘The world is healing.’ Trump is planning to launch the Truth Social platform on February 21 – Presidents’ Day – according to its Apple App Store listing. The platform appears to be an almost exact replica of Twitter.
Trump has been announcing his plans to take on Big Tech ever since he was barred from Twitter and Facebook in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 attack on the United States Capitol. He announced the formation of Trump Media Technology Group at the end of last year, to proposals for a subscriber video-on-demand service called TMTG+, as well as a new social media outlet.
Trump reportedly decided to join the social media platform on February 10, according to screenshots of his Truth Social account. He had about 175 followers as of Tuesday midday. It’s unclear if his follower count has increased since then, as the platform is still not open to everyone.
According to pictures put online, the platform resembles Twitter, which Trump has been a frequent user of before being suspended. A previous test version of the social media site was discovered online in December, just under 2 months after the mobile beta was made available to a select group of journalists. but has since improved tremendously.
The site displayed a login page for users who had been given early authorization. The welcome message said, ‘Welcome to the TRUTH Social Beta Release.’ ‘We’re thrilled to have you here, and we appreciate your patience as we work to make the TRUTH more available to everyone.’ The beta site was removed soon after its URL was made public. Users are now redirected to truthsocial.com, in which they can also join the waitlist by signing up with their email.
Truth Social has the potential to make President Trump the richest man in the world.

TMTG was valued at over $5 billion last month based on the share price of Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC), which rose 20% after details of the platform’s app store listing became public. It is unknown what the company is currently worth. TMTG is a privately traded business however, the company confirmed a merger with DWAC in October, which was said to have contributed $293 million in cash to TMTG in return for shares in the company.
Hopefully, Trump’s Truth Social will be better than Twitter, Facebook, GETTR, Gab, Telegram, and Parler all combined! One thing is certain though Trump can’t be banned if he owns the entire site!
