President Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence have not been on talking terms for an entire year. The riff comes after Pence and Trump disagreed on whether or not Pence had powers under the Electoral Count Act of 1887 to decertify the election as the Vice President of the United States.
Trump, in his latest statement, called out Democrat members of Congress for attempting to pass a bill that would change words in the Electoral College Act of 1887 that would make it “clear” that the Vice President doesn’t have the authority to overturn the results of an election.
In a press release Trump was quoted saying:
So pathetic to watch the Unselect Committee of political hacks, liars, and traitors work so feverishly to alter the Electoral College Act so that a Vice President cannot ensure the honest results of the election when just one year ago they said that ‘the Vice President has absolutely no right to ensure the true outcome or results of an election.’ In other words, they lied, and the Vice President did have this right or, more pointedly, could have sent the votes back to various legislators for reassessment after so much fraud and irregularities were found.”
Trump would go on to write in his statement that the January 6th committee should investigate why Nancy Pelosi did such a poor job overseeing security on January 6th. The 45th President would also call out former Vice President Mike Pence for not sending back the electoral votes for re-certification.
Trump’s statements come around the same time former Vice President Mike Pence told Fox News Host Jesse Watters that he hasn’t spoken to Trump in over a year. Pence would go on to say the last time he talked with Trump the two disagreed on his role in certifying the electoral college votes. As some of you may remember during Trump’s January 6th speech Trump was quoted saying “Mike Pence, I hope you’re going to stand up for the good of our Constitution and for the good of our country,” however just hours before Pence was set to stand before Congress he released a letter that stated:
My considered judgement that my oath to support and defend the Constitution constrains me from claiming unilateral authority to determine which electoral votes should be counted and which should not.”
After Pence released this statement, Trump would later state that “Mike Pence did not have the courage to decertify the election” which was also repeated by many Trump supporters. Pence did, in fact, certify the election against Trump’s wishes and as he certified the election he didn’t hold his head up much of the time while doing so, as if he was ashamed.
After Pence certified Biden as President, videos showed Pence being extremely friendly to Nancy Pelosi and even received a strange coin from another lawmaker.
Take a look:
Don’t know those two guys that handed Pence his reward for being a traitor clearly he was somebody high up the evil satanic chain as Pence gives him a slight bow as if saying thankyou grand master then treasonous Pelosi elbows Pence as see now your one of us. One thing is for sure Pence will not be Trump’s running mate in 2024. Pence’s political career and chances of being a US president are very slim without Trump’s backing.
