Once again some “WOKE” celebrities made the news, this time involving their interaction with former New York City Mayor, Rudi Giuliani.
Two judges on Fox’s competition series The Masked Singer reportedly walked off the set in protest after a shock appearance by Rudy Giuliani.
The singing competition show involves celebrity contestants wearing elaborate costumes to disguise their identities so judges don’t know who they are until they’re revealed.
The former attorney for former President Donald Trump was revealed as a contestant during a taping of the show last week for its upcoming seventh season, leading judges Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke to walk off the stage, Deadline reports.
Far-left radicals have rejected Giuliani for being involved in former President Donald J.Trump’s attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election claiming massive false voter fraud, which was reportedly revealed in the seventh season premiere.
Snowflake Jeong and Thicke eventually returned from their “safe spaces” to the stage after walking off, while judges Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger stayed on stage the whole time.
Right before the cancel culture movement took off, for its short flight of influence, The Masked Singer previously sparked some criticism, though no walkouts by the judges, after former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was revealed as a contestant in 2020.
The Hollywood Reporter critic Daniel Fienberg argues that shows that include well-known, but controversial celebrities, are participating in activities that resemble those of criminal enterprises.
Referencing Rudi and White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s appearance on Dancing with the Stars Fieburg wrote; “Shows like Masked Singer and [Dancing with the Stars] too often operate as a disgrace-laundering operation, helping give the impression that people like Sean Spicer and Rudy Giuliani are figures of innocuously adorable mediocrity worthy of having their status buffed from notoriety to fame.”
Variety reported that when asked for comment Fox said that the production does not respond to leaks in an effort to maintain the series’ policy against confirming “spoilers.”
The Masked Singer has a stringent security policy aimed at hiding the identities of the contestants until they are revealed on the show, with Giuliani’s brief stint reportedly slated to air during a March episode of the series, which returns March 9.
The reaction to the report about Giuliani elicited some harsh words from CNN New Day host John Berman, who derisively said on Thursday “next week Harvey Weinstein… next week Manuel Noriega, great job guys!” in reference to the former film producer and convicted sex offender and the drug-dealing, authoritarian former Panamanian dictator.
Fox hasn’t commented on the report, nor have Jeong or Thicke, and no footage from the taping has been revealed. Assuming it’s still broadcast as planned, Giuliani’s Masked Singer episode is set to air on Fox in March.
To me, the reactions displayed by the liberal judges, after seeing Rudy, were childish and embarrassing. Since they can’t handle this, I pity anyone who ends up around them when any type of real crisis hits in the future.
