Biden’s Supreme Court Pick Argues Pedophiles Should Get Weaker Sentences

Supreme Court Nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is facing major backlash from Republican lawmakers for being very weak on crimes involving pedophilia such as child pornography. During Wednesday afternoon’s confirmation hearing Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina slammed Biden’s Supreme Court Justice nominee for being weak on charging pedophiles for distributing child pornography.

Senator Graham called out Jackson for saying as a judge she previously promoted that pedophiles face substantial supervision. Sen. Graham immediately shot back they don’t need substantial supervision but rather they need to be in jail!

Watch the two of them go back and forth here:

Graham is absolutely right to advocate that any who distributes child pornography should be in jail and not get slaps on the wrist. Child pornography is a crime that should carry life sentences due to the fact the trauma that children have to live with after being victims last a lifetime not just a couple of years.

Besides Senator Graham, the Free Beacon reported Senator Joshua Hawley also slammed Jackson’s leniency on pedophilia crimes:

Sen. Josh Hawley (R., Mo.) on Wednesday slammed Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s lenient treatment of sex offenders.

Hawley, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, argued in a lengthy thread that Jackson’s record as a policymaker and a judge shows an “alarming pattern” of letting sex criminals off the hook. That includes reducing sentences for child pornography offenders and questioning whether sex offenders should be forced to enroll in publicly accessible registries.

“Judge Jackson has a pattern of letting child porn offenders off the hook for their appalling crimes, both as a judge and as a policymaker,” Hawley tweeted Wednesday. “She’s been advocating for it since law school. This goes beyond ‘soft on crime.’ I’m concerned that this [is] a record that endangers our children.”

As a law student at Harvard, Jackson wrote a student note that argued for a legal framework that would leave certain sex offender penalties, such as registry enrollment or civil commitment, exposed to constitutional challenges. And she noted that a “climate of fear, hatred, and revenge” is associated with the release of sex offenders from prison.

Hawley also said Jackson routinely gave child pornography defendants reduced sentences as a judge on the Washington, D.C., federal trial court.

After Justice Stephen Breyer retired Biden made it clear that he would nominate a black woman as the new Supreme Court Justice. Many Americans were upset that Biden would pre-determine a Justice based on skin color rather than credentials first. Senator Ted Cruz would go on record saying Biden is racist for basing his Supreme Court pick on race and not on previous court decisions.

Elections do have consequences and unfortunately, under the Biden administration, American children are in danger like never before. Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson has made it clear in past rulings that pedophiles are to be taken lightly which is completely sickening.
