In life, there are some constants, for all people and for all organizations. Even with the best-laid plans, things eventually, at varying degrees goes off the rails testing the character and fortitude of those involved.
The COVID pandemic spread quickly around the world, creating a stress test environment for those in political offices. The results confirmed that the national leaders at NIH and NIAID are lacking in skill and humility.
In the aftermath, leaders like Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) are now picking up the pieces and working on legislation that will hopefully prevent another mismanaged health care crisis from taking place again in the future.
Paul’s top target Dr. Anthony Fauci, as with the other narcissists, “could not” realize that he was over his head before, during, and now in the ramp down of the COVID virus mandates.
Senator Paul on Monday introduced an amendment to strip Dr. Fauci, an unelected bureaucrat, of his position as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)
“We’ve learned a lot over the past two years, but one lesson, in particular, is that no one person should be deemed ‘dictator-in-chief,’” Rand Paul said in a statement. “No one person should have unilateral authority to make decisions for millions of Americans.”
Fox News reported:
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., on Monday introduced an amendment that would eliminate Dr. Anthony Fauci’s position as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and decentralize it, so that no one person can act as “dictator-in-chief” in the name of public health, the senator said.
Paul’s amendment would reorganize NIAID by breaking it down into three separate national research institutes, all with their own director, including the National Institute of Allergic Diseases, the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, and the National Institute of Immunologic Diseases.
“I’ve been a physician for over 33 years,” Paul wrote in a piece Monday for Fox News Digital. “In all my years studying and practicing medicine, I had never encountered someone with the gall to proclaim himself ‘the science’ and portray anyone opposing him as ‘attacking science.’ That is until Dr. Fauci became the COVID dictator-in-chief.”
Lawmakers like Sens. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz have called for Dr. Fauci to step down and be prosecuted over the course of COVID-19. Fauci scoffs at such threats, calling it “noise.”

We’ve learned a lot over the past two years, but one lesson, in particular, is that no one person should be deemed “dictator in chief.” No one person should have unilateral authority to make decisions for millions of Americans.
The toll of COVID doesn’t stop there. We lost more than individuals. We lost our freedoms. Our liberties. Our vibrant small-town Main Streets. Our children’s growth and learning. For two years our lives were held captive by petty tyrants and power-hungry bureaucrats.
To ensure that ineffective, unscientific lockdowns and mandates are never foisted on the American people ever again, I will introduce an amendment to eliminate Dr. Anthony Fauci’s position as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and divide his power into three separate new institutes.
With the Democrats controlling both chambers of Congress and The White House, the establishment will surely protect Fauci.
Why not, they all have performed poorly and can walk away, typically wealthy, whenever it’s best for them and their families, leaving the others to try to fix the damage they left behind.
America is the loser in this process, which is easy to see by simply lifting “the curtain”, just an inch.
