On Wednesday Americans had the misfortune of watching their president goes off the proverbial political rails again, this time into some sort of far-left radical paranoia rant.
President Biden suggested that lawmakers and other Americans who support former President Trump’s political agenda pose a danger to the country, saying the “MAGA crowd” is “the most extreme political organization that’s existed in recent American history.”
Biden repeatedly mispronounced “MAGA” as “mega” but corrected himself. “The mega Republicans, the MAGA Republicans, excuse me, I don’t want to mispronounce it, the MAGA Republicans,”
This follows a Politico article published on Monday which included Justice Samuel Alito’s leaked draft of a majority opinion showing the Supreme Court’s conservatives are set to decide on a Missippisi abortion case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, that will overturn Roe v. Wade.
The Democrat president made the comment in a White House address originally scheduled to focus on the U.S. economy but quickly veered into a pre-scripted attack on the MAGA movement and by inference former President Trump in the process.
Biden also reiterated a point he made Tuesday, which is that the 1973 Roe decision, which states women have a constitutional right to an abortion, is part of Americans’ right to privacy.
Biden brought up his confrontational back and forth with Ronald Reagan’s Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork saying, “When I was questioning him as the [Senate Judiciary] chairman, I said, ‘I believe I have the rights that I have not just because the government gave them to me, which you believe, but because I’m just a child of God – I exist.’ “
“So the idea that somehow there is an inherent right, that there is no right of privacy, that there is no right. There’d been a law saying a married couple could not purchase birth control in the privacy of their own bedroom and use it. Well, that got struck down,” he continued.
The president then shared what appeared to be the approved wording by the party establishment, hoping they expand those the left hopes will also now get angry and turn out for the Democrats in November, namely LGBTQ activists.
“Now, what happens if you have states changing the law, saying that that that children who are LGBT, who can’t be in classrooms with other children, is that is that legit under the way that the decision is written?” he asked aloud.
“What are the next things that are going to be attacked? Because this MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that’s existed in American history – in recent American history.”
Biden also went after Sen. Rick Scott’s (R-FL) proposed tax plan, which he suggested targets low-income Americans for increases.
Scott, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, in February released, what he called his “11 Point Plan to Rescue America.”
President Biden: “Senator Rick Scott of Florida, […] released what he calls the ultra-MAGA agenda. It’s a MAGA agenda all right. Let me tell you about this ultra-MAGA agenda. It’s extreme, as most MAGA things are. It will actually raise taxes on 75 million American families.” pic.twitter.com/TDvfhWEXfh

“Senator Rick Scott of Florida … released what he calls the ultra-MAGA agenda, said Biden, using the acronym for Trump’s “Make American Great Again” platform. “It’s a MAGA agenda all right. Let me tell you about this ultra-MAGA agenda. It’s extreme, as most MAGA things are.”
