World history is replete with stories of the political and business elite living in a manner reflecting their total disregard, nor empathy, for the daily struggles of the average citizen.
The United States was actually established following a revolution, a war, against the over taxation and blatant disregard of the British and other European subjects, by the tyrannical King George III.
Fast forward to President Joe Biden, who is failing in most economic and approval polling measurements, yet he continues policies that are increasing inflation, dividing the culture, leading to increased crime and violence, etc.
In the tradition of the previously mentioned, disconnected elitists, Biden spent some time laughing at jokes highlighting the fact that, since he took office, the American people are having a hard time affording a decent quality of life.
He was filmed laughing at comedian Trevor Noah’s joke about inflation at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents Association Dinner.
It was the first WHCA Dinner in two years — and the first one in six years to be attended by a sitting president. The event featured D.C. media elite and celebrities like Kim Kardashian, who arrived alongside her new beau Pete Davidson.
Close to 2,600 people crammed into a Washington hotel basement, occasionally laughing at various jokes about the presidency and current state of politics.
The general public isn’t laughing at the video of Noah’s joke about inflation, which fell a little flat, as critics slammed the president for his out-of-touch laughter.
“Since you’ve come into office, things are really looking up,” Noah, the emcee of the dinner said while addressing Biden,”Gas is up, rent is up, food is up! Everything.”
In order to catch the President’s reactions, the camera panned over to Biden, who could be seen clapping his hands and laughing.
The interaction can be seen here:

If you are like me, you would really like to ask Joe what is he laughing at?
Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) tweeted, “Here’s regular Joe from Scranton laughing uproariously at the inflation he’s inflicted on Americans while surrounded by cheering journalists.”
“What a model of empathy,” he added. “You can’t make this up.”

Paris Dennard, a spokesman for the GOP, added, “Joe Biden thinks it is really funny that millions of Americans are suffering right now because of rising costs & inflation caused by his policies!”
“This isn’t empathy or leadership it’s shameful!” Dennard stated. “Tell Biden your life isn’t a joke!”
In late February, Biden blamed the pessimism found in polling on the “psychological impact of COVID-19.” Joe implied the reason why U.S. citizens were unable to appreciate the economy was because they were too worried about whether or not they would get sick from the virus.
In an interview at the time, Biden said, “Almost a million Americans have died of COVID and so I think it’s hard for people to get their arms around the fact that we have the fastest growing economy in 40 years, wages are actually up — not down, unemployment is the lowest it’s been….You know it’s just incredibly low, and it’s around the in the three-point range,”
“We find ourselves in a position where it’s hard to fully appreciate that when you wake up in the morning and wondering whether or not your uncle, aunt, mother, father, son, daughter who has COVID are going to be okay,” Biden added.
After 16 months in office and with the Pandemic over, well at least it was for a few days according to Dr. Fauci, the hard data is out, and Joe needs to be told that people still are not “appreciating” his failing economy.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently announced that inflation rose 8.5% year-over-year in March, according to the Consumer Price Index.
The Daily Wire also reported that based on the BLS’ Producer Price Index, which measures inflation from wholesale producers, rose 11.2% annually between March 2021 and March 2022, the highest that figure has been since 2010. Wholesale food prices also jumped 16.2% annually, 2.4% monthly while wholesale energy prices rose 36.7% annually, headlined by liquefied natural gas, which saw a massive 91.4% increase, nearly doubling in price between 2021 and 2022.
In the first quarter of the year, America’s economy shrank 1.4%.
