After 20 violent assaults on pro-life centers around the United States, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, has decided that now is the perfect time to throw some gasoline on the fire and potentially make things worse by ratcheting up the rhetoric against pro-lifers, referring to them as “neanderthals.”
From what I’ve seen over the last several years, but particularly the last several months, the left is militant about keeping abortion — the murder of pre-born children — legal in the United States. Why are they so blood-thirsty?
The main reason seems to be that abortion means sex without responsibility or consequences, which then translates into people not needing the institution of marriage. Marriage creates a nuclear family. That stands in the way of the statist goal of ruling over the day-to-day lives of the people who make up our country.
So essentially, abortion is a weapon they utilize against the family in order to further the statist agenda.
According to a report from The Daily Wire, Hochul signed a new bill into law on Monday that is supposed to provide a boost for abortion “rights” — murder is not a “right” — and will “empower” abortion providers in the state.
“This is the United States of America, where freedom and liberty are supposed to mean something,” the Democratic governor stated. “It’s the rock upon which we were founded. It is supposed to mean something. Except in the eyes of some neanderthals who say, women are not entitled to those rights.”
Freedom and liberty mean something so long as you’ve made it out of the womb alive. Funny how Hochul talks about freedom and liberty while slamming individuals who are trying to ensure those rights are reserved and protected for the innocent children she’s in favor of women being allowed to slaughter.
Guess those rights don’t apply to human beings in utero.
Check out more details from The Daily Wire report:
Earlier this month, a pro-life pregnancy center in Buffalo called CompassCare was firebombed; windows were broken, the structure’s medical office was set ablaze, and the vandals added graffiti that said “Jane Was Here,” a phrase used by a pro-abortion group called Jane’s Revenge.
“They broke glass in the middle of the night, under the cover of darkness, to keep us from doing the work of the Lord, from being the light of the world,” CompassCare CEO Jim Harden said following the attack. “And we’re not gonna stop.”
Unfortunately, CompassCare is not the only pro-life center to be targeted by extremists. According to Catholic Vote, more than 20 pregnancy resource centers and offices of pro-life groups have been attacked or vandalized since a leak of a draft opinion regarding Roe v. Wade in May.
Last week, the FBI announced that it would be opening up an investigation to look into “a series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers and faith-based organizations across the country.”
“The FBI takes all threats seriously and we continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners and will remain vigilant to protect our communities,” the bureau went on to say to The Daily Wire. “We would like to remind members of the public that if they observe anything suspicious or have information about potential threats to report it to law enforcement immediately, call their local FBI field office, or submit a tip to tips.fbi.gov.”
What Hochul said about pro-lifers is only going to make matters worse. She should be held accountable in some way for aggravating this situation with her name-calling. You can guarantee if Trump had something like that against pro-choicers he would be roasted all over the place.
Let’s have a little consistency here.
