Kid Rock is an American treasure. Kid embodies the American spirit that we USED to have when he began his career in the late 90’s.
You remember the 1990’s right? Great music, great movies, this new thing called the internet. Might I also correctly point out it was that sweet spot before social media essentially wrecked our country.
No apology: Kid Rock tells Tucker Carlson he stands by drunken rant attacking Oprah Winfrey https://t.co/S3qlmDuxMp via @foxnews

Good times! There, near the top of the heap musically, was Kid Rock.
Kid Rock now owns a Lower Broadway Nashville bar, one of the best there I might add, and in 2019 had an epically famous rant where he roasted Oprah, Joy Behar, and oddly enough Kathy Lee Gifford. To be fair, he meant Kathy Griffin, but Kid had a few adult beverages and lord knows what else prior to taking the stage. Hey, it’s HIS bar!
In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Kid expressed his sincerest apologies to Oprah and Joy. Just kidding! He has zero craps to give!!
According to Billboard.com:
Kid Rock is standing by his drunken 2019 diatribe against Oprah on Tuesday (June 7) in a new interview with Tucker Carlson.
The topic of the years-old rant came up during Carlson’s new Fox Nation documentary Life of a Rockstar: Kid Rock. Wearing a patriotic red, white and blue trucker hat emblazoned with “We the People,” the singer told the conservative firebrand, “A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts. I own what I said. I don’t apologize to anybody. I’m not an Oprah Winfrey fan. I got drunk and f—in’ next thing, I’m on stage [saying] f— Oprah …
Ah Kid, a breath of sweet, fresh air in an insane world. Give me more of this, all day everyday!
Kid plays by his own rules. Always has dating back to the 90’s. The fact that he got sauced up and ripped the America hating Oprah and Behar should come as zero surprise.
During his off-the-cuff remarks at Nashville’s Honky Tonk bar before the pandemic, Rock also took aim at The View star Joy Behar and former Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee host Kathy Lee Gifford — though he now claims the latter was a slip of the tongue; he actually meant to lambast comedian Kathy Griffin instead.
“I was trying to go after Kathy Griffin you know, for holding up Trump’s head, but I’m so out of it I’m like, ‘F— Kathie Lee Gifford,’” he explained. “When it comes back on TMZ or whatever a few weeks later I’m like, ‘Oh man, I like Kathie Lee Gifford.’ We’ve been kind of friendly throughout the years.”
Poor Kathy Lee, so sweet and innocent. Kathy Griffin? To hell with her. She is an unfunny “d” list celebrity, and one of the most vile, offensive, America hating trash bags drawing a paycheck in entertainment. Too harsh? Sorry. Not sorry.
In March, Rock’s latest album Bad Reputation debuted at No. 124 on the Billboard 200 — a far cry from the chart success of his previous eight major label records, all of which bowed in the top 10. He’s currently promoting the album with a tour, which kicks off each night with a video message from former president Donald Trump.
Nice swipe. As much as I used to love Billboard, it’s devolved into little more than a left wing outlet, pushing woke music and messages. Billboard is a dinosaur clinging to such things as charts, and physical record sales. With the advent of social media and streaming, actual physical sales and radio airplay are almost irrelevant, especially considering the artists make almost nothing. The record companies are the ones getting paid. I challenge Billboard to find another rock artist from the 90’s that can still release an album, chart, and fill stadiums and amphitheater’s. I think the best they could do is maybe Sugar Ray. I kid. I love Sugar Ray.
Here are the facts. Kid Rock is an American original. He had the stones to say what he thinks, and he won’t bend a knee to any corporate entity. He is living free, like many of us wish we could. At the end of the day, we can all go to bed hoping to wake up a little more like Kid Rock tomorrow morning.
