Ex-president Donald Trump seems like he couldn’t care less about DeSantis’ if he planned to run for President in 2024, or at least it appears to be so.
In an interview with The New Yorker, Trump clearly stated that he doesn’t care about Ron DeSantis nor is worried about his plans because he is sure that would beat him.

“I don’t know if Ron is running, and I don’t ask him,” Trump said. “It’s his prerogative. I think I would win.”
Trump’s self-assurance may stem from the fact that he has consistently outperformed DeSantis in polls. However, according to the most recent poll straws taken at the Western Conservative Summit, DeSantis got 71% support while Trump received 68%.
DeSantis was also narrowly ahead of Trump in a straw poll conducted at the Wisconsin Republican Convention, with DeSantis receiving 38 percent of the vote to Trump’s 32 percent.
According to The New Yorker, despite Trump’s confidence in defeating DeSantis, an unnamed consultant claims the former President is plotting ways to keep DeSantis down.
“Trump World is working overtime to find ways to burn DeSantis down,” the source reportedly said. “They really hate him.”
“Ron has been told for four years that he’s Trump’s successor — that all the women want to sleep with him, and all the men want to be him. Ron has heard way too many times, ‘you’re next.’”
DeSantis chose to stay mysterious about the upcoming elections and failed to confirm whether he would run or not, avoiding the question on “Fox & Friends.”
“2022’s coming up, 2024. We know President Trump is considering a run. We know your name is atop that list as well,” co-host Pete Hegseth asked. “Where does that all sit in your mind right now?”
“It just sits when people always bring up my name,” DeSantis said. “We’ve got a lot going on.”
DeSantis stated that he was focused on gaining reelection and assisting the state of Florida.
In related news, it was revealed that one of the world’s richest men, Elon Musk supports DeSantis:
Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, wants to see Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis become the next President of the United States, so he tipped his hat to him as the candidate, but stopped short of a full endorsement.
The world’s richest man’s revelation was made after he tweeted that he had backed the Republican candidate who made history in south Texas on Tuesday night.
“I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican. Massive red wave in 2022,” Musk tweeted.
He was then asked about who he was leaning toward supporting for the 2024 presidential election, and he responded: “DeSantis.”
“I supported Yang last time, but DeSantis has a better chance of winning,” Musk added later.
