Bodies of dead migrants were stacked high inside a tractor-trailer in San Antonio, Texas on Monday as Biden’s open-border stance leaves 46 dead.
The horrific incident is one of the deadliest in US-Mexico border history. Only 16 managed to survive the awful conditions inside the sweltering 18-wheeler truck.
The occupants had no water and their bodies were reportedly hot to the touch even as they lay dead. A near-record heatwave has been plaguing Texas in recent days and on Monday temperatures in San Antonio soared to a blistering 103F.
“The patients that we saw were hot to the touch. They were suffering from heat stroke and exhaustion,” said fire chief Charles Hood.
“[There were] no signs of water in the vehicle. It was a refrigerated trailer, but there was no visible working AC unit on that rig.”
The 16 survivors which included four children were rushed to a local hospital where they are now receiving treatment for dehydration, heatstroke and exhaustion. The desperate migrants were found by a local worker who heard a distant cry coming from inside the truck.
The vehicle had been abandoned near a railroad track and was found by the worker at around 6pm Monday evening. The doors were partially open and that’s when he saw the piles of bodies inside.

Three have been taken into custody after the incident on suspicion of people smuggling but police chief William McManus said it isn’t yet clear if the individuals were “absolutely connected to this or not.”
It is, however, clear that Joe Biden’s lack of control and checks on the Mexican border is to blame for tragedies like this.
San Antonio’s independent mayor, Ron Nirenberg, 45, said the migrants were likely from Mexico and were probably trying to get to the USA for a “better life”:
“The plight of migrants seeking refuge is always a humanitarian crisis”, he said.
“But tonight we are dealing with a horrific human tragedy.”
A tragedy that could have been prevented said Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, if Democrats would take responsibility and clamp down on border control – not just for the safety and security of the United States, but also to protect migrants:
“At Least 42 People Found Dead Inside Truck Carrying Migrants In Texas. These deaths are on Biden,” Tweeted Abbott last night.
“They are a result of his deadly open border policies. They show the deadly consequences of his refusal to enforce the law.”
Meanwhile, other prominent Republicans took aim at Biden’s deadly incompetence. Ted Cruz Tweeted that the tragedy was “horrific” and “wrong”:
“How many more people have to die before Dems give a da–?” he asked.
Rep. Tony Gonzales, a Republican lawmaker who represents Texas asked “Will [US Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas] even mention their names?”
“Death count rises to 46 with another 16 in the hospital, to include 4 kids. Lord when will the nightmare end?”
Last night, Mayorkas vowed to crack down on people smugglers, calling them “callous individuals who have no regard for the vulnerable people they exploit and endanger in order to make a profit.”
Nirenberg also made a vague reference to border control, but directed his focus on providing humanitarian aid – which will make little difference to the economic migrants who want to get to the USA for financial benefits:
“We know that there’s been increasing volumes [of migrants] over the last 6 months, 12 months related, you know, to the policies,” Nirenberg said, “but our work, again, is to provide humanitarian assistance.”
“This is a far different situation than what we’ve seen,” he continued. “Our job is not to ask why, our job is to ask how we can help.“
Surely the job of border control should be to control the borders, uphold the law of the land, and in doing so, ensure more horrific tragedies like this don’t reoccur.
