Pop sensation — and outspoken abortion activist — Billie Eilish stated that she needs children and would “rather die” than stay childless, although she did come out and admit that she gets stressed by thinking about what it would be like if her kids didn’t listen to her.
Well, first off, why in the world would someone who apparently has such a strong desire to have a family of her own be in support of other people murdering theirs? That is an inconsistent way of thinking.
Secondly, since when did kids ever listen to their parents? That’s sort of part of the deal when it comes to parenting. Sure, the rebellion won’t be all the time. But there will definitely be occasions when you want to shave your head and check yourself into the nearest mental hospital for an extended stay.
I speak from experience.
According to the Daily Wire, the 20-year-old singer recently conducted an interview that was rather wide-ranging in scope with the Sunday Times. Topics discussed during the interview included her goal of being a mom someday, what it’s like to tour the world with her family, and more.
Eilish often collaborates on her music with her brother, Finneas, while her mother, Maggie, manages a lot of the details concerning her live shows, according to a report from Page Six.
“[I would] rather die [than not have kids],” Eilish went on to explain during the interview. “I need them.”
Not long after that comment, Eilish admitted that while she’s excited about being a mom one day, she revealed that she also “dreads” it, which I find to be a pretty common thing for most people. Being in charge of another human life is terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time.
“The older I get, the more I experience things, I just think, uuggh, what am I going to do when my kid thinks that this is the right thing to do and I’m, like, no, it’s not!” she continued, elaborating on her fears of being a mother. “And they won’t listen to me.”
The pop superstar then opened up about what it is like to go on tour with your family.
“I definitely find my mom annoying but that’s because she’s my mom and everyone’s mom is annoying,” Eilish revealed. “But I love her, she is like a book, she knows everything, and I’m so grateful because I don’t know s*** about s***.”
“Usually when you turn 18 you go to college and leave your whole family behind,” she continued. “And it is so nice that we all get to travel the world.”
While it’s fantastic to hear she wants to start a family of her own one day, let’s not forget that she is a staunch supporter of killing the unborn, which, again, is inconsistent.
“In October, the ‘Happier Than Ever’ hitmaker used her concert in Austin to slam the recent Texas abortion ban, telling the crowd she was ‘sick and tired of old men’ she claimed were responsible for its passage,” the Daily Wire reported.
“When they made that s*** a law, I almost didn’t want to do the show,” the singer said addressing the crowd at the NSFW show in a clip passed around on social media. “Because I wanted to punish this f***ing place for allowing that to happen here.”
“But then I remembered that it’s you guys that are the f***ing victims, and you deserve everything in the world,” she commented. “And we need to tell them to shut the f*** up! My body, my f***ing choice.”
