Somehow, some way, President Joe Biden’s approval rating has managed to hit another new low, this time hitting 38 percent, as more Americans lose faith in his ability to do something, anything, about the skyrocketing inflation that is decimating our country, according to the results of a new survey.
According to the folks at the Daily Wire, a brand-new CNN/SSRS poll has discovered that almost 7 in 10 Americans — 68 percent — disapprove of the performance of the president, which is a brand new high. Roughly only a quarter of those who have been surveyed approve of the job Biden is doing to handle inflation.
Whatever drugs those squarely located in the above-mentioned quarter are on must be very strong in order to come to the conclusion that doing absolutely nothing is a good way to handle a problem like inflation. Just sayin’.
“The poll, conducted from June 13 to July 13, comes shortly after the Biden administration released the latest Consumer Price Index report last month showing inflation soared 9.1% from a year ago, the biggest hike since 1981,” the report stated.
“Americans are losing faith in the president, with the poll finding that nearly 8 in 10 (79%) think things are getting worse, a level not seen since February 2009. And just 31% think the president ‘has had the right priorities.’ Plus, 68% said Biden is not even paying attention to the worst problems in the country,” the Daily Wire reported.
Oh, but things actually get worse for Biden.
His approval rating for handling the economy is at an abysmal 30 percent, with only 25 percent of those surveyed supporting his efforts to stamp down inflation. A total of 75 percent has stated that inflation, along with the cost of living, are the most critically important economic problems that currently face their family, which is up a whole heck of a lot from last summer’s 43 percent.
The Daily Wire report continued, saying, “The new poll comes after another earlier this month by Gallup that found Americans’ confidence in “the presidency” as an institution has dropped to 23% from 38% in 2021 — a record low since the survey began in 1973.”
It’s not just the presidency that has taken a beating. The survey also discovered that an average of only 27 percent of the individuals who participated in the poll had either “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence the 14 major institutions that Gallup has been measuring for decades, which includes: the church/organized religion, the military, the Supreme Court, banks, public schools, newspapers, Congress, organized labor, big business, television news, the presidency, the police, the medical system, and the criminal justice system.
“The new confidence level in the 14 sectors is down from 32% in 2021 and even plunged below the previous low of 30% in 2014,” the report stated.
“Americans are less confident in major U.S. institutions than they were a year ago, with significant declines for 11 of the 16 institutions tested and no improvements for any. The largest declines in confidence are 11 percentage points for the Supreme Court — as reported in late June before the court issued controversial rulings on gun laws and abortion — and 15 points for the presidency, matching the 15-point drop in President Joe Biden’s job approval rating since the last confidence survey in June 2021,” Gallup said about the results of the poll.
This is not a good look for the administration going into the midterm elections. However, the fact that they are failing so miserably, and that people have picked up on that failure, is most definitely good news for the future, as it likely means Republicans will end up taking control of at least the House and maybe even the Senate in November.
Such a victory would be a major step in preventing the current administration from further destroying the country until we can get someone else in the White House.
