CDC Shamelessly Uses Elmo to Promote Vaccine for 3-year-olds

The CDC is shamelessly at it again, now promoting the vaccine on Sesame Street using poor Elmo as their ambassador. Sesame Street just got a little scarier.

Elmo received his first jab on Tuesday as part of an aggressive effort to bring reluctant parents on board to get their babies vaccinated, a push that some are calling shameful.

The campaign, which has since gone viral on social media, comes after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) expanded the use of the coronavirus vaccine to children 5 years old and younger earlier this month.

“It’s okay to have questions about COVID-19 vaccines for children!” one of the tweets captioned.  “Elmo’s dad Louie talked to their pediatrician and learned that Elmo getting vaccinated is the best way to keep him and his whole neighborhood safe and healthy!”

The public service announcement shows the beloved, eternal 3-year-old describing the jab as “a little pinch” to his father Louie who questioned the safeness of the vaccine.

“Was it safe? Was it the right decision?” asked Louie.

Elmo has since stated that he is “ready for all of the hugs” after getting the jab.

The public service announcement racked up more than 590,000 Twitter views in less than 24 hours, but it also elicited several negative online reactions.  You can view the PSA here:

“Thanks, @sesamestreet for saying parents are allowed to have questions! You then have @elmo aggressively advocate for vaccinating children UNDER 5,” tweeted Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

“I remember when Sesame Street was cool. Now they are just another shill for the mainstream narrative training kids with propaganda,” another user posted.

Cruz also included a link to a press release stating that his office was demanding answers from an FDA panel regarding the use of COVID-19 vaccines for babies and toddlers. We can’t wait to see the response.

This is not the first time that Sesame Street has come under scrutiny from Senator Cruz for pushing vaccine propaganda. In November 2021, they used Big Bird to push parents to get their kids vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus.

“I got the COVID-19 vaccine today! My wing is feeling a little sore, but it’ll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy,” the official account for the character shared at the time. “Ms. @EricaRHill even said I’ve been getting vaccines since I was a little bird. I had no idea!”

“We always knew the media were the Dems’ puppets, but this is getting ridiculous,” Cruz replied to this previous shameful, government push to vaccinated children with the controversial vaccine.

In late June, Biden boasted proudly about the United States offering Covid vaccines for babies as young as 6 months old, even though it has since been reported that the data in the pre-print study was falsified.

It is alarming that the Biden Administration and the CDC would continue a nationwide aggressive campaign to get our babies vaccinated knowing that the data on safety has been proven to be false.
