It’s hard being a police officer in 2022. Antifa, BLM, rampant crime in blue cities, and the still insane notion of defunding the police has made a hard job even harder.
Politicians, city managers, and in many cases the general public has made being in law enforcement almost not worth it. I’m sure we have all seen viral videos of “a-holes” videotaping police, trying to bait them into losing their cool. That’s just not ok.
Besides having “citizens” with cell phone cameras harassing them at every turn, in some cases the harassment is coming from WITHIN the force.
What am I referring to? Recently harassment from a new “progressive” city manager resulted in the ENTIRE force saying, “screw it” and putting in their notices. Let’s check the New York Post for the details:
An entire North Carolina police force has quit in protest at the town’s newly hired “progressively responsible” town manager — who the police chief said created a “hostile work environment.”
Kenly Police Chief Josh Gibson made the shocking announcement in a Facebook post on Thursday, saying the assistant town manager and a key clerk had joined him and his five officers in quitting in protest.
“I have put in my 2 weeks notice along with the whole police dept.,” he wrote of the force he has served with for 21 years.
I applaud the entire Police Department of Kenly North Carolina. Wacko, progressive, defend the Police advocate Justine Jones is another example of Soros money moving people around the country to install policies that are dangerous for the citizens of America.

Whoa! That’s serious! Honestly, who hasn’t wanted to repeat the familiar refrain from the Johnny Paycheck song and say, “Take this job, and shove it”?
We all have, but for the entire force to sing the song at the same time HAS to be a reflection on city leadership, no?
“The new manager has created an environment I do not feel we can perform our duties and services to the community,” he wrote of Justine Jones, who took up the position early last month.
He made it official with a formal letter of resignation to Jones herself, according to a copy obtained by WRAL.
Noting that he was “the longest running chief” in the area, he said he felt his force had recently “made substantial progress” in dealing with unspecified “ups and downs.”
“However, due to the hostile work environment in the Town of Kenly, I do not believe progress is possible,” he told Jones, without identifying her as the source of his complaint as he had done on social media.
However, the exiting police chief told WRAL he would consider staying if Jones was dismissed.
Google Justine Jones. Sued her employer in S.C. for race, gender discrimination. Big into diversity, equity and inclusion, etc. Sounds like a city council that was eager to virtue signal by hiring her and it has come back to haunt them, Good.https://t.co/1H7NGK9c16

Thats some hardcore solidarity from these officers. To be willing to give up your livelihood and potentially the ability, at least short term to feed your family isn’t a decision one would come to lightly. Apparently nor was it just saber rattling.
There has been no indication as of yet what the issues were between the force and progressive town manager Justine Jones but suffice to say they must be serious and run deep. Jones has a history in prior employment of making racism claims and has filed a discrimination suit before.

In the meantime, it appears that the entire town of Kenly could go unprotected. Imagine if this happened in even a mid-sized city. Crime is bad enough WITH brave officers risking their own lives to stop it. One can only imagine what would happen if criminals were allowed to operate unchecked.
Actually, I suppose you could look at Portland, San Francisco, Houston, or any number of liberal, progressive run cities to see what would happen. Spoiler alert, it’s not good.
It’s going to be interesting to update this story and see who blinks first, the officers, or the town of Kenly. My suspicion is they might be looking for a new, less progressive town manager soon. If not, sadly the citizens of Kenly may suffer in the name of diversity.
