Neither man are strangers to controversy or are shy to engage in public arguments – now Elon Musk and Donald Trump have well and truly locked horns in a battle of the bold.
In a public rally in Alaska, Trump called Musk a “bull**** artist” and said the Tesla billionaire had lied when he said he had first voted GOP last month as he backed Mayra Flores:
“I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican,” Musk Tweeted in June.
“Massive red wave in 2022”.
“You know he said the other day, ‘Oh, I’ve never voted for a Republican.’ I said, ‘I didn’t know that. He told me he voted for me,” said Trump in Alaska upon discussing Musk’s dissolved $44 billion Twitter buyout bid.
“So, he’s another bulls*** artist,” he added. Musk later denied these claims on Twitter.
“But he’s not gonna be buying [Twitter]. Although he might later, who the hell knows what’s going to happen.”
Trump, who owns rival social media platform Truth Social which promotes freedom of speech and is anti-censorship of content said that one of his top priorities “will be to stop left wing censorship and restore free speech in America” he said at the rally on Saturday.
Musk had continuously discussed Twitter’s left-wing bias in its censorship of content over the months before retracting his bid, vowing to drain the Twitter swamp.
But Trump went on to say he knew Musk wouldn’t go ahead with the deal, adding “Elon is not gonna buy Twitter. Where did you hear that before? From me”.
A man in the crowd called out “fake accounts”, in a suggestion that Musk had waivered the takeover over the number of bots on the site.
“He said ‘fake accounts’”, responded Trump. “A lot of them. No, he’s got himself a mess. I’ve looked at his contract”.
Meanwhile, Musk hit back at Trump in a series of scathing Tweets, insisting that he does not “hate Trump” but added that he thinks it’s time for the former president to “hang up his hat and sail into the sunset”.
I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset.
Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.

“Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency”.
A Twitter user proceeded to ask Musk what issues he had with Trump being president.
“Yeah, but too much drama. Do you really want a bull in a china shop situation every single day!?” he replied, before adding that a higher age bracket of 69 should be imposed on presidential candidates. Trump is 76.
Yeah, but too much drama. Do we really want a bull in a china shop situation every single day!?
Also, I think the legal maximum age for start of Presidential term should be 69.

“Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States.”
The SpaceX CEO then gave a clear indicator of his support for Florida governor, Ron DeSatnis.
“If DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, then DeSantis will easily win – he doesn’t even need to campaign,” he Tweeted.
Neither DeSantis or Trump have given any indication yet as to whether they will run in the 2024 presidential election.
