The unelected bureaucrats in Brussels have announced that the block will take member state Hungary to court over its supposedly ‘anti’ LGBT laws.
Last week, the European Commission announced it would sue the Hungarian government over a bitter stand-off between right-wing prime minister, Viktor Orban and the liberal dictators in the EU.
The so called ‘anti LGBT’ law in question relates to Hungary protecting its children from being exposed to material relating to hyper-sexual content and transsexualism in schools.
The bill was proposed in 2021 and includes stricter action against those convicted of pedophilia and limits content which “promotes or portrays the divergence from self-identity corresponding to sex at birth, sex change or homosexuality” to minors under the age of 18.
Orban, who is a staunch defender of traditional, conservative values came under fire by the woke mob for implementing the ban of sexual content in schools, with many suggesting he had discriminated against the gay community.
“Whatever they do, we will not allow LGBT activists into our children’s kindergartens and schools,” said Orban.
In the same year, Orban also passed a law to prevent trans people from legally changing their gender, although they are still able to undergo cosmetic surgery and hormone treatment.
Instead, Hungary will only recognize “biological sex based on primary sex characteristics and chromosomes.” In other words – biology. The sex the individual “identifies” as will not be officially recognized.
Thousands of wokes gathered outside the Parliament in Budapest to campaign against the new laws to protect kids.
The European Commission (which is entirely unelected by European citizens, I might add and wholly unaccountable), is now withholding billions in aid to Hungary as a punishment for determining its own laws.
Ursula von der Leyen, the Commission’s answer to Cruella Deville and President of the outfit said that the ban of the content in Hungarian schools was a “disgrace” and vowed to make the Hungarian government pay for defying the views of the woke EU.
This Hungarian bill is a shame.

“This Hungarian bill is a shame,” she said in a press conference.
“It discriminates against people on the basis of their sexuality and goes against the EU’s fundamental values.
“We will not compromise. I will use all the legal powers of the EU Commission to ensure that the rights of all EU citizens are guaranteed”.
Meanwhile, Hungary’s Justice Minister, Judit Varga said that the country’s membership to a political bloc which supposedly supports the sovereignty of individual nations should not undermine its freedom to make laws:
“EU membership does not affect Hungary’s right in any way to make decisions of its own about child protection and in accordance with its national identity,” she argued.
The EU’s meddling in the actions taken by democratic elected government has prompted many Brexiteers to voice their dismay on social media:
“The EU – led by: NOT directly elected by regular voters Ursula von der Leyen – are sanctioning Hungary because Hungarians DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED a Prime Minister the EU doesn’t approve of. Just think about this for a full minute…& tell me it’s not INSANE,” posted @Arwenstar.
“To think some of our country want to re-join this mess,” wrote @DominicFarrell.
