Infamous shock radio host Howard Stern, who has been desperately attempting to make himself relevant again over the last few years by trashing former President Donald Trump and slamming the Supreme Court for overturning Roe v. Wade, recently floated the idea of running for president in 2024.
Then, on Wednesday, he announced his running mate.
Before anyone gets too worried about all this, it’s likely just a joke…so don’t take it too seriously. Stern is a guy who has lost the vast majority of his relevance and is seeking any way possible to stay in the limelight, to recapture his glory days so to speak.
Stern stated on his radio show Wednesday that after he made the announcement two days ago about running for president, actor Bradley Cooper texted him congratulations.
Apparently, according to The Daily Wire, that’s when Stern asked Cooper to serve as his vice president.
We are truly living in strange times, ladies and gentlemen.
“He said yes, so my search is over,” Stern stated during the show. “This guy is gonna bring in the female vote like you wouldn’t believe.”
While Stern is most likely cracking wise, it should be noted that back in 1994, Stern actually did run for governor in New York as a libertarian. However, he gave that up quickly after discovering he’d have to reveal his personal finances.
“Stern blasted Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas on Monday and vowed to run for president after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade,” the Daily Wire reported.
“Party like it’s 1959,” Stern said, mocking the decision.
“I hope they roll it all the way back to slavery and then they slap him on a plantation,” co-host Robin Quivers, who, like Thomas, is black, stated during the program.
Talk about idiotic and ignorant things to say.
“Stern said he might run for president to do away with the Electoral College, pointing out that Democrat Hillary Clinton got more popular votes in the 2016 presidential election than Donald Trump. He said that allowed Trump to appoint ‘deranged’ Supreme Court justices that deliver rulings contrary to public majority opinion,” the report continued.
Do people really not understand the difference between a democracy and a republic? The whole purpose of having a republic is to ensure that every single person in society has a say in choosing their leaders and thus determining the direction of the country.
In a democracy, rural areas would lose their voice and big cities would run the entire country, despite the fact most of the people in the U.S. do not live in cities. It’s unbelievable that this concept is so hard to grasp.
“This is Trump’s legacy. I hope he’s happy. Back-alley abortions,” Stern went on to say. “The country is not bad. This Taliban government that has gotten in, is by the minority.” Again, he’s apparently unaware that Democrats control the White House and both chambers of Congress.”
He then said, “Do you want to start regulating the bedroom? We were past all this and we still are.”
Again, this dude is just desperate to keep himself important. I don’t think anyone is really giving him or his opinions much thought.
