Rep. Jim Jordan, an Ohio Republican, spoke with Newsmax, where he stated that if Republicans can indeed pull of a major red wave during the midterm elections later this year, a GOP-led Congress will then investigate a series of scandals that have happened under the Biden administration.
“The American people deserve to know where the virus started. The American people need to know the Justice Department is so political it’s treating moms and dads as domestic terrorists who show up at school board meetings,” Jordan went on to say while making an appearance on “The Record With Greta Van Susteren.”
“Thousands of Americans’ tax returns remain public,” the congressman added. “That’s not supposed to happen in this country. So, the Ways and Means Committee need to investigate that. Certain key investigations have to happen, but we also have to pass legislation that’s going to help families across this great country.”
The Ohio Republican then stated that he believes the GOP have a pretty good chance at taking control of the Senate in November, going on to point out that for that to happen, the party needs to play a little defense in Ohio and Pennsylvania, two states where incumbents are retiring.
“I think it can happen, but it’s a little harder,” he admitted. “But let’s hope it does and that Republicans are in charge of both the House and the Senate.”
Jordan then went on to say that he doesn’t think if Republicans take control of the House, President Joe Biden will take the next two years of his term to negotiate with them.
“I memorized at the inauguration he talked about how he was going to unify the country, and he went an hour later to the Oval Office and signed, I think, 21 executive orders that divided the country,” Jordan went on to recall. “So, he says one thing and he does the opposite.”
Given the fact that the Democratic Party has spent a significant amount of time and effort attempting to paint up Republicans and Trump supporters as being domestic terrorists, the enemies of “progress,” it’s highly unlikely Biden has an interest in reaching across the aisle.
That would destroy the narrative they’ve worked so hard to craft. After all, it’s much easier to take control of a nation, subtly, keeping people divided, than it is if they should come together over a common set of shared values.
However, that’s not really the point of taking control of Congress. We want this to happen so that we can keep the Democrats and their nasty plans for Marxist transformation of the republic we hold dear at bay. This buys us time to set up for 2024, when we can hopefully take back the White House as well.
It’s not enough though, to just simply play musical chairs with politicians. We need to be people with a forward vision of the future. We have to be working in the here and now to set ourselves up for the days to come, just as the liberals have done for decades.
A focus like this, on planning for the future, helps us have time to not only put out the fires started by the Democrats, but to actually repair, restructure, and rebuild, the right way.
