Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts reportedly attempted to persuade the other conservative justices on the bench to preserve the murder of pre-born children by not overturning Roe v. Wade, however the leaking of Justice Samuel Alito’s draft majority opinion stopped him cold in his tracks, according to a new report.
Not surprised to find this out. Roberts is a very mushy conservative. He’s not one who seemingly possesses a set of hardcore principles he actually believes in; thus, he does whatever seems most politically expedient, rather than what is right according to the Constitution.
According to TheBlaze, it wasn’t long after Politico put out the draft opinion, written by Justice Alito, back in May which showed the Supreme Court had voted in favor of overturning Roe, that Roberts slammed the leak and then promised a thorough investigation.
“To the extent this betrayal of the confidences of the Court was intended to undermine the integrity of our operations, it will not succeed,” Roberts promised. “The work of the Court will not be affected in any way.”
TheBlaze report said, “CNN legal analyst Joan Biskupic revealed in a new story — which is filled with biased language that promotes the pro-abortion agenda — that Roberts lobbied the court’s conservative-leaning justices for months before the leak.”
What was Roberts’ goal? Why, to protect and preserve the foundation of abortion rights by making sure Roe was not overturned. Disgusting and deplorable.
After listening to oral arguments for the case back in December, the justice then took an initial vote, which then succeeded in overturning the controversial abortion decision of 1973.
It was at that time that Roberts kicked of his campaign to preserve abortion.
“Over the course of the next several months, Roberts discussed his concerns about overturning Roe, targeting Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. Roberts reportedly wanted to uphold Mississippi’s 15-week ban on abortion, but at the same time preserve the framework of Roe,” the report stated.
All of that lobbying ended, however, when Politico put out the leaked draft.
“Multiple sources told CNN that Roberts’ overtures this spring, particularly to Kavanaugh, raised fears among conservatives and hope among liberals that the chief could change the outcome in the most closely watched case in decades. Once the draft was published by Politico, conservatives pressed their colleagues to try to hasten release of the final decision, lest anything suddenly threaten their majority,” the CNN report stated.
CNN’s report continued, saying, “Roberts’ persuasive efforts, difficult even from the start, were thwarted by the sudden public nature of the state of play. He can usually work in private, seeking and offering concessions, without anyone beyond the court knowing how he or other individual justices have voted or what they may be writing.”
CNN then went on to report that the Supreme Court discovered the opinion had been leaked back in late April, just days before it was published by Politico.
It’s been three months since the leak happened and Supreme Court Marshall Gail Curley, who led the investigation into the matter, still has not identified the source of the leak.
“We’re several months in and law clerks and permanent employees have been asked to turn over electronic devices,” Biskupic went on to say during an appearance on CNN. “They’ve continued with the search. Nobody has been caught and there’s just a lot of skepticism inside, that despite how aggressive the investigation has gone, that they are not close to finding out who it is.”

It’s despicable that this man would want to preserve the murder of innocent children, but again, given that it is John Roberts, it’s not surprising. Thankfully, he wasn’t able to convince anyone on the bench to vote contrary to the truth of the Constitution.
He is clearly placing politics above his duty to preserve the rights held in our founding document.
