Is there anything sadder and more hilarious than a washed up, former pop artist or celebrity saying outlandish things to keep themselves relevant? We have seen it time and again, from Madonna threatening to blow up the White House, to Kathy Griffin holding up a fake decapitated head of a sitting president, it’s hilarious and sad at the same time.
Unfortunately, many older musicians and celebrities, ones that should be old and experienced enough to know better, have been showing their behinds either through misguided protest, uneducated tweets, or bad songs; often through all three avenues.
Thankfully most of these washed-up hacks no longer get their political drivel played on the radio. I’d expect the same from the most recent “artist” to show her ugly side in a desperate attempt to stay relevant. Pink. Heard of her? Probably. Can anyone name her most recent hit song? Doubtfully. No Google either, that’s cheating.

Let’s check in with the Daily Wire to see what nonsense our androgynous heroine is spouting these days:
Pop singer Pink is unhappy with how things are going in the country, and her newest single, “Irrelevant,” fully reflects those feelings.
The pre-chorus says, “You can call me irrelevant, insignificant/You can try to make me small/I’ll be your heretic, You f***ing hypocrite/I won’t think of you at all.”
“Sticks and stones and all that s***/Does Jesus love the ignorant?/I like to think he’d gladly take us all,” the song continues.
I have to admit, that’s a toe tapper, no? The songwriting there is on par with some of the finest McCartney and Lennon work.
Actually, it sounds more like something an angry girl would pen when her crush asked another girl to the prom. Though I’m sure Pink rolled to her prom in Converse sneakers with too much eyeliner on and tried to start a fight, because you know, rock and roll?
During the bridge, Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, sings, “Girls just wanna have rights/So, why do we have to fight,” referring to the historic Supreme Court decision that led to Roe v. Wade being overturned and abortion laws becoming decided by the states.
Previous to this, I thought girls just wanted to have fun. Anyone have Cyndi Lauper’s number? I long for simpler times, and considering Pink is just a latter day knock off of Lauper, maybe we could make the switch and no one would notice.
Did Pink take the time to ask what ALL girls wanted before taking on the task of speaking for them? Last time I asked around, PLENTY of women are smart and reasonable enough to read and understand the issue and its relation to the individual states. I guess no one read it to Pink.
F* you @Pink
I have supported you since you were a little teenage girl and I just fell in love with your voice and your attitude how dare you hate me without ever knowing me.

The music video leaves nothing up to interpretation. Images of pro-abortion marches and racial justice demonstrations are highlighted in the beginning. Next, Pink adds footage of the conservative Supreme Court justices being sworn in before cutting to images of Adolf Hitler, Nazi Germany, and the Ku Klux Klan. There are references to George Floyd and school shootings as well.
There you go, let’s throw up some inflammatory images to stoke emotion. Good one, Pink. Never mind the people you might be offending by comparing sending abortion back to the states like it should be, to the Holocaust, racism and a little pinch of George Floyd for good measure. I understand her fans probably have the collective IQ of an ear of corn, so why not flash images “Clockwork Orange” style to whip up what’s left of your fan base?
And by the way, I’m not responsible for anyone poking their own eyes out if they watch the music video. Just watch paint dry, it’s more entertaining.
“Let’s be clear: if you believe the government belongs in a woman’s uterus, a gay person’s business or marriage, or that racism is okay- THEN PLEASE IN THE NAME OF YOUR LORD NEVER F***ING LISTEN TO MY MUSIC AGAIN,” she shared to social media June 25, the day after Roe v. Wade was overturned.
Next, she wrote, “And to all of you sad, old white men asking me if I still make music. I realize you’re out of touch- so ask your kids…. Oh wait- you can’t. They hate you.”
Two points here, Pink, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! It’s not a hardship to NOT listen to bad music. I actually try to avoid crap, so you are on!
One last point, I actually did ask my kids, (they love this old white man), all four of them, if Pink still made music; their response was the same as mine. Who cares? She hasn’t been relevant in a decade. I guess that makes the song title “Irrelevant” even more apropos.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to dig out my Kid Rock cd’s. That friends, is music!
