Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX), Hispanics Are Moving To The GOP

States like Texas, California, and Arizona have experienced huge growth in the number of Hispanic migrants and illegal aliens who have taken residence within their borders.

As their children, who are born in the US become of voting age, and as some of their parents become citizens, their potential votes are considered crucial by politicians.

Until recently, the Democratic establishment has been the political party spending hundreds of millions of dollars trying to get them registered, hoping to secure their votes for future elections.

In their pitch, they promise free money, while at the same time using fear to try to get them to stay away from those “anti-immigrant” republicans.

During former President Donald Trump’s four years in office, his administration did a much better job in connecting with Hispanics, than previous Republican presidents.

Texas Republican congresswoman Mayra Flores torched Democrats for taking Hispanic voters “for granted” On Wednesday. She predicted the November midterm elections will show that the left does not “own” their votes.

Mayra, who shocked the Democratic party in Texas by flipping a House seat in a special election last month, joinedAmerica’s Newsroom to discuss how the economy and border crisis are responsible for the Democratic Party losing Hispanic voters.

“We’re going to teach them a strong lesson in November that they do not own our votes and that they need to bring back the good economy that we had prior to the Biden administration,” she told Sandra Smith and Bill Hemmer.

Flores mocked a CNN columnist who suggested she is not an authentic Latina on Tuesday.

Columnist Raul Reyes, who regularly writes for CNN criticized Flores and other Republican Latinas from South Texas, Monica De La Cruz, and Cassy Garcia, in a piece headlined, “These GOP Latina candidates are not the ‘real deal.’”

“I am proud of my culture and my beautiful family,” Flores told Fox News Digital in a text. “I was born in Burgos, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and raised with strong Conservative values to always put God and Family first,” she wrote.

“I have received only hate from the liberal media and constantly [been] told by the left to go back to Mexico. They don’t support us, immigrants, they only use us for political power and don’t care about our well-being. I am here now, and I won’t allow them to continue taking advantage of my people,” Flores finished.

Her comments were in response to recent comments by First Lady Jill Biden.

First Lady Jill Biden’s staff had to issue an apology on behalf of the First Lady after she compared Latinos to breakfast tacos.

“The First Lady apologizes that her words conveyed anything but pure admiration and love for the Latino community,” wrote Press Secretary to the First Lady Michael LaRosa.

Jill butchered the pronunciation of “bodega” while saying that the Hispanic community is “as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio”.

Hunter Biden’s stepmother was also criticized by several other organizations for her comments.

The National Association of Hispanic Journalists called on her “to take time to better understand the complexities of our people & communities.”

Flores previously criticized President Biden for failing to listen to the concerns raised by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, during their recent meeting.

The first-term congresswoman said that Biden was “half-asleep” during their meeting.

“People are going through a dangerous journey, increasing child sex trafficking, alarming rates. This is something that we should all come together and work on for the safety of immigrants and, of course, innocent children that are being dragged into child sex trafficking. That’s a reality. And I think that conversation wasn’t had,” Flores told Fox News.

Flores’ comments until recently would have been considered mainstream as the idea and ramifications of the U.S. having an open border have been an ongoing main concern of the citizenry, especially in border states.

We will know one thing for sure in the November mid-term elections.

Did the Hispanic voting base decide to join Flores in fighting to preserve traditional American values or did they vote for government subsidies and handouts thrown their way?
