According to data pulled from the results of a recent poll, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken a rather significant hit in the public eye after the raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida estate.
I mean, how popular was the agency before? The FBI has established a pattern of behavior that seemingly indicates they are operating out of a political bias, one that seems to believe Trump is the father of all evil, simply because he and his supporters have a view that differs from progressive ideology.
A report from Just the News has revealed that Rasmussen Reports released information that shows 44 percent of Americans they surveyed say the raid on Trump’s home made them trust the FBI less.
Again, I’m stunned there was anyone left who had any trust in the FBI whatsoever. We know now that the agency cooperated in a scheme to try and make Trump appear as though he were working with Russia to steal the election from former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.
If they are willing to get down and dirty, to abuse their authority to target major political enemies, you and I are definitely going to eventually be in their sights.
“Last week’s raid by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on former President Donald Trump’s home has damaged the FBI’s standing with Republican and independent voters,” Rasmussen’s report stated. “A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 44% of Likely U.S. voters say the FBI raid on Trump’s Florida home made them trust the FBI less, compared to 29% who say it made them trust the bureau more. Twenty-three percent (23%) say the Trump raid did not make much difference in their trust of the FBI.”
However, what’s even more shocking is that most Americans still look at the bureau favorably.
“Fifty percent (50%) of voters have a favorable impression of the FBI, including 26% who have a Very Favorable view of the bureau,” Rasmussen report explained. “Forty-six percent (46%) now view the FBI unfavorably, including 29% who have a Very Unfavorable impression of the bureau.”
Here’s a bit more from Just the News:
The survey comes after the FBI raid sparked backlash and accusations from Trump of “prosecutorial misconduct.” The FBI has not released many details about what they confiscated, though it did say in court filings Trump had classified documents at the property.
In light of criticism of the agency, FBI Director Christopher Wray released a statement defending the agency.
“Unfounded attacks on the integrity of the FBI erode respect for the rule of law and are a grave disservice to the men and women who sacrifice so much to protect others,” he said. “Violence and threats against law enforcement, including the FBI, are dangerous and should be deeply concerning to all Americans. Every day I see the men and women of the FBI doing their jobs professionally and with rigor, objectivity, and a fierce commitment to our mission of protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution. I am proud to serve alongside them.”
Rasmussen then went on to ask Americans participating in its survey, “Is Christopher Wray a better or worse FBI director than most of those who held the job before him? Or is his performance about the same?”
The results reveal that 15 percent stated that he’s better and 30 percent stated he is worse. The rest were not really sure or believed he was about the same.
At the end of the day, the FBI has proven to be nothing more than a weapon in the hand of the radical left to be wielded against anyone who dares to disagree with the status quo, which means the progressives, and express those views in the open.
