Just days after her extraordinary moan in her interview with The Cut magazine, Meghan has thrown in the race card once again during her podcast with pop sensation, Mariah Carey.
The episode is the second of Meghan’s new Spotify podcast series entitled Archetypes in which the Duchess has said she will discuss issues relating to women and feminism, but critics have blasted the queen of woke for continually playing the victim.
The former actress, 41, said she was inspired by Mariah Carey as a child because the singer is a mixed race like herself.
“Oh my gosh. Someone who looks like me. She’s mixed like me,” Meghan said as she recalled her feelings as a little girl about Mariah.
Meghan went on to say that she had not been treated “like a black woman” until she began her relationship with Prince Harry because she was “light skinned”:
“Because we’re light skinned, you are not treated as a black woman. You’re not treated as a white woman. You sort of fit in between. If there is any time where there was more focus on my race it was when I started dating my husband. Then I started to understand what it was like to be treated like a black woman because up until then I was treated as a mixed woman and things really shifted”, she said.
Towards the end of the interview, Meghan almost went into meltdown because Mariah had called her a “diva”:
“You give us diva moments sometimes Meghan. Don’t even act like,” quipped Mariah.

“It stopped me in my tracks. I started to sweat a little bit. I started squirming in my chair in this quiet revolt. Why would you say that? My mind genuinely was just spinning with what nonsense she must have read or clicked on to make her say that.
“She meant diva as a compliment. But I heard it as a dig. I heard it as the word diva, as I think of it. But, in that moment, as she explained to me, she meant it as chic, as aspirational. And how one very charged word can mean something different for each of us, it’s mind blowing to me,” Meghan continued.
In her first podcast episode, in which Meghan interviewed woke tennis ace, Serena Williams, Meghan took numerous swipes at the Royal Family.
Yesterday, she continued the theme in an exclusive interview with the New York-based magazine, The Cut. The Duchess said she now feels she’s able to say anything she wants about what she calls “The Firm”.
The British tabloids were awash with criticism today after Meghan almost proudly proclaimed that her husband, Harry had “lost” his father after their decision to leave royal duties and move to Hollywood.
She was also blasted for comparing herself to Nelson Mandela, as she claimed a Lion King cast member had said:
“When you married into this family, we rejoiced in the streets the same we did when Mandela was freed from prison.”
