Under Joe Biden’s watch, federal agencies allowed around 400 Afghan migrants who were deemed “potential threats to national security” to come to the U, according to an insider.
Following Biden’s reckless and tactless withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan which resulted in the Taliban forcefully taking control of the nation’s government in 2021, Biden scrambled to allow thousands of undocumented refugees to relocate to the US.
Almost none were screened or checked at any point during the process of resettling around 85,000 Afghani citizens across 46 states.
The Afghan refugee program will continue well into this year. Yet we have no idea who the majority of these people are, their background, whether or not they are indeed from Afghanistan at all or even if they have links to terror cells.
A whistleblower has told Breitbart that Biden’s government agencies have admitted to not vetting the refugees and that hundreds were in fact on federal “watch lists” as potential threats to the national security of the US.
In a letter penned by Sens. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) to the Department of Defense Inspector General, the extent of the potential security risk which Biden’s slap-dash Afghan refugee program has caused is clear:
“We write to you with concern over new allegations raised by a Department of Defense (DoD) whistleblower,” says the letter.
“This information may show the Biden Administration’s failure to vet those evacuated from Afghanistan was even worse than the public was led to believe. The following allegations demand an immediate investigation by your office,” it continues.
The letter goes on to reveal that 324 people were evacuated from Afghanistan to the US despite their names appearing on the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Biometrically Enabled Watchlist (BEWL).
This aforementioned list “identifies individuals whose biometrics have been collected and determined by analysts to be threats or potential threats to national security, including known suspected terrorists”.
According to the whistleblower, the National Security Council along with the DoD had given specific instructions for agents to skip parts of the refugee processing procedure in order to move large numbers of people more quickly.
Bases were set up known as ‘lily pads’ in Europe where federal agents were supposed to thoroughly vet each individual before they were allowed to resettle in America:
“Rather than administer fingerprint tests on all ten fingers, personnel were told to abbreviate their tests in order to promote the rushed evacuation from Afghanistan,” the letter says.
Even more damningly, the letter concludes that the whistleblower claimed DoD staff who were involved in the vetting (or lack of) process were given permission from above to delete “old biometric data whenever they personally believed that such information is out of date”.
“This is a troubling development that could threaten national security and public safety.”
Worryingly, a Department of Defense Inspector General report admitted that the vast majority of individuals from Afghanistan who were deemed to be of “significant security concern” have disappeared into obscurity within the US and feds are unable to locate them.
According to the report, of the 31 Afghans flagged to have possible ties to terrorist cells, the DoD could only locate three.
This June, the Biden administration announced that it would slacken the vetting process for migrants from Afghanistan even further.
Even if the individual “provided ‘limited’ material support” to terrorist groups, they could still, under Biden’s guidelines, be resettled into a neighborhood near you.
