It seems we’ve — unfortunately — not heard the last of Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney despite the fact she lost her bid for reelection on Tuesday, as she’s reportedly got plans to put together a “unified effort” to oppose former President Donald Trump and any plans he may currently have for running in 2024.
This woman has turned this thing into a major war with Trump. Many other politicians have attempted to do the same thing, and it’s never worked out well for them in the end. If this woman is working toward never having any sort of real career in government service again, then she’s on the right path.
Unless she turns Democrat of course.
According to Just the News, “In coming weeks, Liz will be launching an organization to educate the American people about the ongoing threat to our Republic, and to mobilize a unified effort to oppose any Donald Trump campaign for president,” Cheney spokesperson Jeremy Adler went on to say to Politico.
Cheney went on to reveal that she would be using the new group as her primary political outreach organization as she continues to consider whether or not she should run for president.
Hey, Liz. You don’t know me, but I think I speak for the vast majority of conservatives in the country when I say, there’s no need for you to stress about whether you should give the White House the old college try. The answer is clearly a big, fat no. You can capitalize that if you want, for extra emphasis.
As of now, the group’s name has not been made public, however, the folks at Politico have speculated it might be called “The Great Task,” which was the name of her last political ad, not to mention she dropped that same phrase during her concession speech Tuesday night.
The reference comes from President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.
That’s awfully grandiose. The name makes it sound like she’s a character in some epic fantasy novel trying to save the world from Sauron or The Empty or some such thing.
How full of yourself do you have to be to think you are somehow the savior of the country by opposing the very same people who actually DO want to restore America to greatness?
Delusional. That’s Cheney in a nutshell.
Former President Trump actually slammed the media for supporting Cheney in her potential bid for the presidency, posting on Truth Social, “The Fake News Media is claiming that Liz Cheney has such a ‘wonderful and bright’ political future.”
“Maybe they didn’t notice that she lost by nearly 40 points? She’s too angry and sick to succeed in the future, but who knows!” he then went on to add, according to Newsmax.
As I so eloquently stated above, there’s not really any interest for Republicans in seeing Liz Cheney as the president. Any chance she had of aspirations of that level was destroyed the moment she threw her lot with the Democrats against the former president. It’s time she considers returning to the private sector and actually doing something productive with her life.
