During his HBO show on Friday nights, Bill Maher tried to stop Michael Moore’s anti-Republican babble in its tracks. When Moore predicted the Democrats would win the midterm elections in November, Maher had to step in and stop him, even yelling, “Shut the f*** up!”

Things were fine at the beginning of the convo. “You look like Michael Less,” Maher made fun of the director’s appearance and weight loss. However, the joking rapidly shifted to politics, particularly about the midterm elections.
Maher said: “So, ah, listen, we’ve talked about the midterms many times here. I think there’s sort of a bright spot there in the fact that the country is on the brink, which, for the first time I can remember, the midterms are…. This is the one usually we had trouble getting people to go out and vote for. Now there’s very high enthusiasm for a midterm election.”
Moore must have interpreted that as permission to ramble on about his political beliefs and offer assessments of the midterm elections in November. He said, as reported by Daily Wire: “I honestly believe Bill, and you know, you and I are two well-known pessimists, I think, and I have never felt this optimistic,” he said. “And I, and, you know, I was on your show here, what’s, now six years ago when I said that Trump was going to win. And the audience booed me, and you stood up for me.”
“I think there’s a real revolution, a nonviolent revolution going on in favor of democracy,” Moore concluded. “People don’t want to lose it.”
Maher was starting to lose interest in listening to Moore ramble at that point. However, Moore continued to babble, with the two engaging in back-and-forth conversation, with More apologizing before rambling again.
Moore kept saying that he was super excited that the country was gonna finally get rid of the people who were tearing it down. He went on and on, saying how excited he was. This is the perfect example of an easily-impressed guy who likes listening to the sound of his own voice.
